I kind of agree with you. I guess it's just the pastel look that ultimately seems to go along with cel shading that really puts me off.

That would have been really cool. But...it's Nintendo. They're typically more interested in damsels in distress.

For sure. I know exactly what you mean. I must say, I'm really driven by story as well. It's just unfortunate so many games recently have had pretty unimagined plot lines. Perhaps that's why I find myself really enjoying something like Dark Souls or classic gaming, because it's not encumbered by a crappy story. The

MMMneeeoooh my god. It's Zelda - but open world. Sounds great. Please be good.

So, 'Yoshi' is basically 'New Super Mario Bros' with Kirby's yarn. It does look amazing. =P

Amiibo. Sounds like amoeba. Reggie Fils-Amie reminds me of Apple's Gil Amelio. They seem so far removed from the products they're involved with. Reggie feels like a 'suit' trying to be passionate about an experience he has little involvement in. Maybe that's unfair. Perhaps he's just nervous.

Oh. my. I'm so glad I bought a 3DS a few weeks ago!

The corporations have truly won.

Dark Souls is the closest a developer has come to recreating the kind of gameplay many of us experienced in the late 1980s/early 90s with the NES. The beauty of Dark Souls is that it's (for the most part) very fair. The controls and combat are some of the best fun I've had playing a game...ever. I sunk 200 hours into

Um, whiteguiltdouche was being sarcastic. That was pretty clear with his/her "oh wait..." comment at the end. He/she clearly knows that GTAV is going to be on the PC, etc.

You've been THAT jazzed by the E3 announcements? There's not a single platform-specific game that has done anything for me (not to mention all the multi-platform ones). Nice try. I'm glad you're happy with your console purchase.

How many fade-to-black transitions can a single video have?!

Yeah, that really detracted from the stories of the previous games for me. I actually preferred the 3rd game to the 2nd until I was running around on floating sand platforms. FFS.

For me, I felt like Sully might die, which is arguably sadder because he's a more interesting character than Drake, IMO.

So novel!

Having played every major AC game yet released, I see where you're coming from. Sure, now I hold down the right trigger and don't have to time my jumps. Sure there are a few new move sets with each game. But ultimately, doesn't the fighting, climbing, running, hay-diving (etc) feel a bit stale? Sure, it may be 'more

Exactly. I respect people's complaints that without games, the Wii U can't sell, but if you're Ubisoft and you think there might be a brighter future for the Wii U someday, why release a game into oblivion when you can do it when it will be experienced by greater number of people and draw in greater profit? Perhaps if

Yeah. I've been waiting for a revolutionary AC game. I'm sorry, but one set simply during the French Revolution ain't gonna cut it. The gameplay looks like every goddamned AC I've ever played.

I too found AC2 boring and repetitive. Not more so than the first, but I felt it was overrated. But that's true for the whole of the series, arguably.

Hrnghh indeed. I would as well if such a thing were to occur. But they are just a bit too devoted to their now stale AC fighting mechanics. =(
