Can't say I agree with personalized search for signed-out users thing. But as for sharing info across various Google services I've been annoyed that they don't do a better job of that, and I see no reason to be more concerned about my personal information than before.

We all have to do our part to fight childhood obesity ;)

Actually, I remember being struck by how clean DC's subway system is. Granted, that was about 12 years ago, so things may have slipped since then.

In Steve's defense he did pay Xerox for those ideas. But I think what happened with Xerox and Microsoft really hits it on the head. In Steve's mind (which, IMO is absurd), Apple should have been the only one's allowed to build graphical/mouse based OS computers. When he lost that legal battle, he eventually lost

Everyone except us, the consumers, since these kinds of silly royalties reduce profit margins thus increasing the price of our products.

While I'm glad to see that digital textbooks are finally making a little forward progress, the idea they, and by extension the school system, may get locked up in Apple's walled garden is truly terrifying.

Can't say I'm surprised that this has moved to High School. I remember half the kids in my morning college classes showing up in there PJs, and that was over a decade ago.
