Her acting credentials are bona fide. So is her talent. The issue is that you expect her as a woman to play an emotionally charged character in need of a male love interest to complete her (see, e.g., Wonder Woman). The brilliance of Captain Marvel is that she goes through self-discovery without a love story or other

One thing that has been overlooked in the streaming era: I bet streams of Weezer’s classic albums go up every time they release an album, making them money off of people feeling nostalgic.

Just doing a thought exercise here, wouldn’t (1/2)^23 of siblings have the same genetic code from one of their parents? In other words, there is a 50% chance that my sister and I have the same chromosome 1, 25% that we have the same chromosome 1 and 2, 12.5% that we have the same first three chromosomes...

I’m betting against Apple on this. I just don’t see Apple as being an innovative company anymore. They’re too “safe” and lack vision.

I’m genuinely glad that people care enough about outer space to learn about space law. I was fortunate to get to spend a year getting an LLM in space law. If you’re interested in learning more, I recommend checking out the work of Frans von der Dunk.

Correct and thank you for bringing up space law. I’m glad that there is a robust system in place to prevent harmful interference.

So...I get that this is stupid but they claim to have ensured a limited risk of collision and it’s supposed to deorbit in a couple of months. Thus, while it may be silly, the risk that this creates a meaningful amount of orbital debris is relatively small.

Eliminate redundancy = cut labor costs while allowing one backend to mine communications for advertising = more revenue.

My path:
+ Definitely Frosties
+ Refused job (literally right before the offer they tell you that the demon is a dead end in the game and the demon loosely resembles the CEO)
+ Had the programmer jump
+ Got caught in loop that took me twice into the locked room with two different codes
+ Climbed through the mirror into the

I also called SPG multiple times and they confirmed that I was not emailed. It hasn’t stopped SPG/Marriott from sending me multiple promotional emails in the interim.

I’ve said this on Gizmodo before, I hope Marriott pays out a massive sum for this breach. As someone who spent more than 90 nights sleeping in SPG and Marriott hotels last year—never mind the 5 years before that—all of my information has likely been compromised.

I strongly disagree. I love the Dash buttons. Living in NYC, I don’t have a car to transport things from the market, so I often rely on Amazon for large, bulky items. I probably have 10 buttons scattered around my apartment (stuck on the inside of cabinets, attached to the washing machine, in the pantry). Whenever we

I don’t understand the need for 8K—other than a race to the pointless marketing bottom. We’re already hitting the limit of the human eye’s ability to see additional detail with 4K when you consider how far people typically sit from their TV. If you own a 55" 4K TV, you have to sit closer than 7 feet to see the

I’m assuming some of these are genes that affect neurological structures associated with social behaviors, such as the density of vasopressin receptors in the voles brains similar to oxytocin in humans.

Now that SPG points are merged with Marriott, 1 billion is what’s actually needed. Thank you.

Uh, both were destroyed. The whole story was Spock was trying to prevent the explosion that then destroyed Romulus, but failed. Then both he and the mining ship were sucked into the resulting black hole and transported through time. The Romulans subsequently destroyed Vulcan as retribution for Spock’s failure, which

It’s been broken for a long time. I remember in 2007 when Todd Graham was coaching at Rice. He took Rice to its first bowl game in decades and negotiated a contract extension. While negotiating with Rice, he was excusing himself to go to the bathroom to negotiate with Tulsa where he had previously coached. Soon after

As a platinum member of SPG, I am embarrassed by their response. I’ll have spent 1 out of 3 nights this year at their properties and certainly have had my information stolen. The only thing that will make this better is stiff penalties and 1 million Starpoints.

This. Journalism is not about sides. It’s about facts and telling a story. Facts shouldn’t have sides. There may be different interpretations about what to do in response to facts, but facts exist independent of sides. Anything short of this is just sophistry.

Having just been to Disney World, I’m inclined to believe the future is not motor driven, but instead projections. Several of the rides project facial expressions and movements onto a blank canvas, allowing for software to do all the work instead of hardware. It’s surprisingly effective and avoids some of the uncanny
