I had the option of buying a 4c last november. Loved the looks. Loved the carbon fiber tub. Driver’s car. Not married so no one to tell me no.

Bought an Abarth Spider new, for less than half the price. All because the Alfa doesn’t come with a stick. If I am going to buy a compromised car that sucks over distance,

Disagree, Toyota nailed it with the first gen mr2 and then lost their minds. It was everything the first gen miata was, except mid engined. In true toyota fashion it shared bits with other cars that the miata didn’t really do.

Love the snobbery. So many arm chair experts on the internet that know what a brand is. A brand started with 4 cylinders.... a brand that sold 4 cylinders for decades. So yeah, Porsche should never make anything like a 356, 912, 914, 912e, 924 or 944 again. None of those cars are any good and have absolutely no

Wait, someone coming from GM saying that Mazda’s build quality might not be up to par? What kind of dope are you smoking?

As for not enough power, get a fiat spyder. Stronger transmission and easy to modify for hp.

20k for a 16 year old Miata or 24k for a brand new 36k Abarth Spider, hrmmm.  Crack pipe this crap all day.

Live in a place in the states where inspections are required after 5 years. After that point its every time you renew your plates so at most 2 years between inspections. Validating the VIN and mileage if purchased out of state (even on a new car) is a total waste of my money.

On the other hand mixed on inspections. A

I think as someone who has owned a 13 club spec and now has an 18 abarth, that the formula has a narrow set of uses. The miata and fiat make great around town go karts. They make for terrible cars when you want to travel distance, have a lot of high way commuting, want to be able to carry on a conversation with your

Proves what exactly? That it can be a 2 seat convertible that most won’t go near with a 10 foot pole as a daily driver?

For what they are asking you are look at mazdaspeed miata or an nc which are not too far off in horsepower while remaining much lighter.

This will fit bigger people and are more comfortable. It also has the bmw badge going for it. With 184 hp and a 3k curb weight it actually has less hp per lb than either of the above

Its not a sacrifice, its because the impreza interior is hot garbage. Subaru is a very weird company. The interior in the forester is nice. The interior in the Crosstrek (same as imprezza) is awful. They are 2300 apart in starting price.

Big part of why is cost. It is cheaper to buy off the lot. If ordering I don’t even know what I am actually paying till the car arrives because the incentives from the manufacturer when I order don’t apply. Instead I have to wait till the car is ready for pickup and whatever incentives are available apply then. Its

Gonna disagree. for 5-10k the boxster is going to be older and the ones I have been in the interior just does not hold up. It is more expensive to maintain as well.

Fiat yes, Ranger no.
Wanted a Wrangler unlimited with a stick shift. Dealership had it for the right price, but the stop sale prevented me from buying. Didn’t want to play rebate roulette and got the Ranger with a hefty discount and 0 percent.

Looked at the golf alltrack with a stick, but nearest was 4 hours away. It

Had a 98 ranger extended cab and currently a 19 ranger super crew. They are very very different beasts. MPG, new ranger beats the old. It has over double the towing capacity. Both are xlts, but on the 98 extra luxury meant ac. New one is a rocket ship in comparison. The new one is less a ranger and more a early 2000s

Having shopped wranglers recently, the problem isn’t inflation. Its looking at a 32k 4 door unlimited and getting almost no options. Its trying to negotiate on one and finding that you can get a 4 door truck, 4wd, with a littany of upgrades for the same as a basic unlimited out the door. Jeep milks people on the

Can confirm, friend’s son has one. 17k miles and motor issues. Its currently in the shop for warranty work.

Sorry, but how is “ Try doing that but with a sub-quality product instead of luxury niche product and it just does not add up.”

Tesla still has massive quality problems. Plenty of stories of people refusing cars or dealing with massive headaches in getting things repaired. What Tesla does have is hype.

Some of us have use for pickups. Do I love that they need to be massive with insane towing capabilities and lack manual transmissions? No.

To be fair....

Easy to say when you rent. You have no investment in the area. If it goes to shit you pack up and move, no biggie. For those of us who own homes now you cost us money. Worse you make it harder if not impossible to sell if its bad enough.
