Disagree, id have bought a compact if available. The only criteria is it needs to be body in frame. Full size is too big. Not modifying my garage to fit it. Not wanting to curse it driving down town. My current mid size is mote capable than i need. I have towed its max, but its not fun. I would sacrifice smaller

Ridgeline is expensive for what it is. Gets very little in incentives. I looked at the apecs and skipped test driving it based on what dealerships were offering. Ended up with one of those old rangers as people like to point out and am happy.

I’ve lived all over as well, but after reading your comment I am a little more ashamed of my country.

Because if i i  spending 100k i want the engine to be something special, not a camry clone. Im fine with it in my fiata. But that is sub 40k. At house money its cp.

My fiat is heavier than a miata but drop in a 400 hp engine and it will still be under 2800lbs.

I considered it, but long term wanted something that could pull double duty as a family hauler. Not a lot  of transits with an interior, and when it does have an interior its the entire van. With the ranger i can seat 4 and still not worry about mulch making a mess.

Dunno, jumping on a post about police brutality and then blaming rioters seems like your own agenda. Why you feel untrained civilians without training or authority need to be held accountable to the same standard that law enforcement baffles me.

So everyone with a truck needs to own a second vehicle or rent a truck to satisfy your need to see them always have a payload?

Off the top of my head? An aluminum body mid size. Hybrid drive train. Fancier tailgate. Take the bed design off the silverado and put it in a midsize. A diesel that makes financial sense (Colorado’s is too expensive an upgrade for what it is and is slow as snot). The most common is improved aero design. That is a big

Says the person who probably doesn’t own a truck. I live in the midwest, trucks are in almost every driveway including mine. People haul with them. People tow.

True, but if most of the design is already a sunk cost its cheaper to build the same truck in a different country. Besides while full size sells more, mid size trucks still sell. That is if manufacturer’s don’t ignore them for decades at a time, Nissan and Ford...

It will tow more (I towed a heck of a lot more than the 98 could). When I had an 18 colorado I maxed out the towing on that more than once. I have put more in the bed of my colorado than a ranger can hold.

I use my truck as an honest to goodness truck. Sitting over there behind a screen saying our vehicles can do the

Having had a 98 xlt extended cab with the 3.0 slow... Yours is slower than snot. Its not the 3 because it would not avg 24. Guessing the 4 cyl which is great. Turning off the ac to accelerate to highway speeds is fun...

Dunno, I just got a 19 ranger. This was due the incentives last month, but right now the ranger offers heads and shoulders above the tacoma in engine/transmission. If the colorado weren’t an unrealiable heap I’d say the v6 with the 8 speed did too. This is just icing on the cake and I’d love to beat 24mpg on the

Which shrinks the market for an already small market car. You think its its cool, but are you a buyer? I am not. Nor are my friends riding around in brz's, wrx's, and miatas.

Dunno, ive had a miata and now a fiata as my primary. An electric wouldn’t appeal. Even if they made it at the same wright and cost i would pass. Key to the miata is driver engagement and an automatic would kill that leading me to shop elsewhere. Even if they did cludge a six speed in, the lack of a torque curve and

What glut? 3-5 years from now there will be plenty of people wanting second hand trucks. The only reason this would change is if oil goes sky high. In which case we shall see. Modern trucks get a lot better mpg than even 10 years ago.

As a GM employee how do you feel about the poor quality and unreliable vehicles that GM puts out?

It was the engineering project number as porache is an engineering company. Was originally 901 but another car company had a 3 digit name with a zero in the middle.

Fewer parts options than the maita. No trunk to speak of if you want it just as a fun car for trips. If you want to just run around town and have a second car for grocery trips with a passenger this would work. If you want a platform to heavily mod for track days I’d pass as it gets too expensive too fast for what it
