So a car dear to my heart, but one that deserves to be on this list is the Merkur XR4Ti. Engineering to be a BMW 3-Series competitor (which is legitimately was), nobody knew it because of the wretched marketing by Ford/Mercury/Lincoln/Merkur (yes... Merkur was actually a division of Ford). It was an excellent car that

Yea... while I get what you’re saying, and of course it depends on exactly where you live, but the snowpocalypse that prevents that Subie from getting threw is far less frequent than the smaller accumulations that will put that light rear ended pickup in the ditch. I live in Michigan and my wife and I count the number

Not only are 3,000 mile oil changes unnecessary, in my opinion they simply increase the risk that the dude DOING all these extra oil changes isn’t going to screw the drain plug in properly or the oil filter. It’s also more frequent wear and tear on all those components getting changed and screwed in and out. May not

While the EcoSport was NOT a good product, it did fill a promised, important role in Fords lineup. When Ford announced the demise of it’s near ENTIRE car lineup, one question asked was how will Ford address the Fiesta buyers who need an inexpensive car. Ford’s answer (despite being over $5000 more base price), was the

I get what you’re saying Blake... but I think you’re missing a key component or two here. You’re younger... I get and respect that... but for a lot of the people that love them, these were the cars that defined their youth and there is a lot of power in that. God forbid you were born in the late 50s or 60s and the

The model 3 is still the best EV you can get for the price, it has some downsides but it also deserve some praise.”

Little polish and that thing will buff right up.

It’s even more than that, though, right Eric? When the guy comes in and says he doesn’t have the car, and asks them to look for it, it’s already been “recovered.” How do they not see a status of, “In inventory” if it’s been returned. If it’s been rerented, can they not see the customer that CURRENTLY has it?

I’d rent from Anus before I’d rent from Avis.

Hey Avis... go shove your coupon up your ass. You’ve just lost another customer.

Got an hour? Let me tell you, in detail, about the Volkswagen Phaeton. Crazy, crazy engineering.

Jason,

These look like the cheapest plastic accessories I think I’ve ever seen. Would never expect that from Ford.

I love “official” replies to inquiries on the story. “There was a truck that allegedly went into the lake.” No shit. At least make your irrelevant summary complete enough to boringly describe what we all can obviously see in the video. And the news services wonder why nobody wants to watch the news.

It’s not me.

Honestly Jason... let’s really go all the way here. I know you want to. Why aren’t we riveting exterior panels like they do on campers and boats?!? ALL the effort involved to hide fasteners like this... it’s a waste. How vain ARE we. I know you mentioned exposed hinges and stuff... but that’s the tip of the iceberg.

An old Ford F-250 that never had good brakes to begin with, doubtfully well maintained, with three “functioning” brakes (assuming the vise grips were properly closing off the brake line)... what could go wr... oh right. Well aside from careening off the road and flipping and killing people, what could go wrong???

Merkur XR4Ti, the cousin to the SVO had the same speedo effect for the first couple years:

Don’t forget this one... teal with teal inserts!

I had a 1980 Ford Fiesta that didn’t have a passenger-side mirror.
