How about Luke’s “so I’m making a new Jedi Order but adhering strictly to the rules set up by the old, failed one causing me to lose a really promising student”

I’m now on having the urge to shit on the third comedy someone has mentioned here and I’m starting to think, is it me? Is there something wrong with me? No, it’s the children who are wrong. Our Flag Means Death was cute, but not really that funny.

One of the few I’ve had a major problem with is The Greatest Showman, which is basically like if in a hundred years, someone makes a movie about the universally beloved hero of the common man Harvey Weinstein.

It even hits Okona levels of outrageous.

And yet people accept Avatar’s premise without complaint? This is outrageous. Like “Jem and the Holograms” outrageous. It even hits Okona levels of outrageous.

I mean, that’s basic marketing procedure: Be a coward and assume everyone else is an bumbling imbecile.

Your bloody misogyny is showing, moron.

No one cares what you think.

Kate Bush is, as ever, an absolute delight.

I can accept fictional blue aliens that live underwater, but I. will. not. stand. for slightly older looking human children.

T2 is so much bigger, but I watched the first last year and was absolutely riveted.

Oh do tell.

I distinctly remember the slow realization that for as well as La La Land was constructed, Chazelle had absolutely nothing to actually say with it. So this doesn’t have me very excited.

cookie-cutter drop-waists and cliched finger waves

I was defending Howard in the comments well before he got killed - I think he has always gotten a bad rep. He never came off as that bad of a guy to me. A bit show-offy and way too harsh with Kim in S2, sure. But he also does try to help Jimmy (he wanted to hire him before Chuck said no, helped Jimmy get a job in S2,

For s2 Severance is adding Alia Shawkat, Gwendolyn Christie, Merritt Wever, and John Noble! I have no idea what it is going to be like. I can’t wait.

The entirety of the funeral sequence for me.

For me one of my favorite moments was in Andor when Luthien get caught in an imperial ship’s tractor beam and while they’re grilling him and getting ready to board his ship he’s pretending to be a dithering old man, all the while he’s getting ready to open a can of whup ass on them.

Recency bias, but I did enjoy the hell out of Tanya’s boat sequence in White Lotus.

On an honorable mention list, I’d also include the scene in Barry where Sally (the last person you’d expect to become really, seriously violent) is beating a guy to death with a baseball bat inside a sound-proof recording booth. It’s simultaneously horrifying and hysterical.
