Smallville was largely cheeseball corn, but it got a few things very right and one of them was Jonathan Kent.

Which is made worse because Ma and Pa Kent were really perfectly cast in that movie.

I can forgive a good bit about Man of Steel, but that really was the worst take on Jonathan Kent ever.

If you have not watched Derry Girls, sweet suffering Jehovah, just go watch it. It is fantastic, multi layered and absolutely hysterically funny. Just turn on the closed captioning and laugh until you cry.

IS THAT UNCLE RICO?!

It’s been a while since I’ve disliked a show as much as I disliked The Leftovers. That said, like what you like.

Daphne is the only possible answer

There are tax writeoffs involved, but it’s a one time payout. Incredibly short-sighted given the potential these shows had.

In theory, they have to be paying some kind of residuals to actors, writers, directors, etc. But I can’t imagine its really that onerous of a cost.

I just don’t think the guy has any idea what he’s doing.

On the plus side, I will be saving $15 a month not paying for HBO Max as part of my own broader financial review!

You call yourself “reformed” but your comments leave that in doubt.

Marvel directors don’t trust me with scripts just because I have a face tattoo that reads “I LOVE TO SPY FOR DC” and another face tattoo that reads “PHOTOGRAPHING SCRIPTS WHEN NO ONE IS LOOKING SPRING BREAK 2011.” This is discrimination.

Someone must not have given her the It’s not that we don’t trust you, unfortunately a few bad eggs have spoiled it for everyone speech.

And then there’s Oz not even making the list.

The Wire doesn’t even hold up anymore. It’s copaganda. We have all learned what cops are like. They are not a bunch of Bunks and Lesters. They aren’t even Hercs. They are murdering racists who protect each other and no one else. If The Wire wanted to be great they should have shown that.

A clarifying point on whether this is just HBO vs. what’s available on HBO Max would’ve been nice. No one in their right mind can confidently claim that The Other Two, hilarious though it is, is an HBO show - it was a Comedy Central show that got picked up by and is available on HBO Max - that is, if you’re watching
