It depends on the production company, but for the most part crews are being paid for the time off. This is especially true for projects backed by bigger production companies. I work in the industry in Canada, and shows that have had to shut down for a few days have paid their crews. Up here we haven’t been shutting

I work in the tv and film industry, and there are a few circumstances on set where eye contact is detrimental to the cast. One of the first things you’re taught on set is to not stand in an actors eyeline during a take, and definitely don’t stand there staring while we’re rolling.

I work in the film industry (the union world, bigger shows and movies) and the reason they will continue to have stand-ins is the film unions. Unions have fought a long time to have the crew staffing requirements that we have, and if sets become bare-bones due to the pandemic, there’s no way we’re going to have the

I worked with this team just after they shot this segment of Shark Week. The medic Mike Hudson is amazing - we were shooting the Shaq Shark Week special and many on crew told this story and how much of a complete badass Melissa is.

I’m glad that all these stories from the industry are finally coming out. I’ve been in the film industry for 5 years now, and while I’ve never worked with Spacey, the stories I’ve heard are gross and there are a -lot- of them.

You just know Trump is fuming at his placement in the 2017 G20 class photo.

I truly hope he lives long enough to watch as history grinds his name beneath her heel.

Okay oh my god how could you not mention the song?

“Whose got more trash than anyone does?

GRUMP GRUMP GRUMP! ...

He’s got so much trash it spills out of his can

And that is why we are his biggest fans...

Having fun isn’t hard, when you’ve got the nuclear codes.

Gina is so fantastic. I worked on seasons 4 and 5 of Suits and she is just the sweetest, kindest woman. I’m so happy she’ll have her own show, and hopefully they’ll film it here in Toronto as well.

This show is going to be unbelievably good and terrifyingly relevant.

It’s unbelievably good. I’m currently working on the show and my god am I proud to be a part of it

In the photo with Shohreh (Avasarala) holding the wine bottle there’s a three story slide right behind them. They had closed it down a few months prior to us filming there and it was the biggest disappointment to the crew when we found out we couldn’t use it.

It’s the perfect time! Some of the best memories I have from my childhood are from when my mom would read Harry Potter to my sister and I

I'm currently working in the camera department in Toronto, Canada. My perspective is of the union world (for Toronto that's IATSE local 667) so I'm not too sure how the non-union stats compare but like the article states, the camera department is still, for the most part, a boys club. That isn't to say that there
