That was the first thing that came to my mind as well as soon as the music kicked in. Give me more classic rock and medieval fantasy combos please

For as much as my Dad and I griped about how far it strayed from the comics, season 3 really tied a lot of the stuff together in a satisfying way while still being “loosely based” on the source material. It is probably my current favorite serious live action show, no matter how much I hate Quaid.
Season 3 was so good. Eric Kripke is very talented.
I don’t blame you. I watched it when it originally aired and loved it. Then I kind of forgot about it until it started streaming on Netflix. I tried to rewatch it from the beginning but I just couldn’t get past the rough CGI. As a kid I didn’t care, but as an adult it was too hard to ignore the decade of improvements…
I have always taken issue with the discourse around Quiet which always just sounded to me like slut-shaming. Wanting a Resident Evil giantess to sit on you is perfectly cool but a woman existing in a bikini is Japanese perviness in full effect.
“Who’s the bigger fool? The fool or the fool who follows him reflexively whines about the fool whether he’s there or not?”
Could easily say the same about countless traditionally-animated cartoons over the years as techniques and technology evolved.
To each their own of course, but for a kids’ series in 1996 I think it holds up fine. I totally get why many people can’t get past how things looked at the time, but taking “historical” context…
Also, I think you misunderstood a key point in the plot. Lalo never thought Jimmy or Kim would actually shoot Gus. He knew Gus wouldn’t be the one to answer the door. He was just creating a chaotic diversion so he could sneak into the lab.
The designs themselves are terrible, but the actual key animation is legitimately great.
Yeah, this animation style is terrible. After playing the new game, I had hope for the franchise, but I just can’t with this style. Maybe I’ll get used to it with time.
Judging by the comments being turned off on youtube, I don’t think many people are jiving with it, either.
Take a look around America?
It is just a sort of shorthand that has evolved in the space. Enough people following these categories of shows as in the “genre” that it has sort of stuck that when you right about “the genre” on on related sites we all know they are referring to “this particular genre”. That said, if I said to my wife or in-laws…
It’s all really, really dumb. If Marvel Studios doesn’t trust the people they hire not to illegally upload screeners to the internet, then they probably shouldn’t have been hired in the first place.
private parts was solid for what it was.
I don’t think it was as shocking or salacious as it was hyped up to be, but a huge part of that is the show’s own fault, which has been serving up shocking and salacious content since the first season. It becomes kind of numbing and desensitizing.
It really wasn't THAT salacious, relative to other episodes of the show, anyway. The occasional full frontal nudity in the background but it was mostly just more The Boys. The fight scene wasn't even as crazy as the buildup wanted you to believe.
Is Black Knight really a big pull? I always assumed the part was going to be a bit role like Valkyrie or Nebula
Sansa is on The Staircase, Peter Dinklage is in lots of stuff. But generally, yeah.
I guess Marvel told him that Dane Whitman isn’t a big part of their upcoming plans. It definitely reads like he’s struggling to get work.
Is it just me or does “The best entry in Phase 4 behind Shang-Chi and No Way Home,” sound a bit like damning with faint praise? :D
