Sounds like you need better tires. Can’t spin mine past second gear unless temps are below what’s recommended for the tires (<40*f). And that’s with 455hp/455tq. 305's in the rear are nice.
Other rumors are that the Grand Sport will keep up the tradition of Z06 body / suspension / brakes with a base or slightly tuned engine, and the E-Ray will be the entry hybrid option.
I’m an ‘essential’ worker in the metro area of MN. The reduced traffic has been very nice, but between the average Minnesotan’s obsession with staying in the left lane and other folks who want to go 20+ over.. I’ve seen some interesting driving the last couple weeks.

They’re not the most accurate with the powertrain side of things, but once you get used to the quirks it’s pretty fun. At least for me, but I have a thing for big Russian logging trucks.
I finally sat in a new Zupra when the auto show rolled into town a few months back.. and holy cow, talk about claustrophobic! And I own a 6th gen Camaro.. that Supra made it feel like a normal car.
As a working class pleb I can realistically think about owning a C8, though.
I actually like the ‘vert more than the standard C8.
Given that everyone is going 10-15+ above the limit (on the highways here in MN, at least) and I’ve seen a much higher percentage of those than usual with their head stuck in a phone.. may not be any safer than usual.
2001 also had the cylinder head that was prone to cracking.
My ‘99 XJ had the Selec-Trac. Was nice being able to throw it into full time 4wd in the winter.

Same here. Started driving around ‘96. I think the lowest I remember was $.93 or somewhere around there.
My first car was an ‘84 Fiero with a duke. Would have much preferred a 3800 Series II S/C in there..
