Does the C8 seat three?
Does the C8 seat three?
No way that thing tows over 4000lbs per the SAE J2807 standard.
True. But it was a rental.

Pretty sure lessors don’t get the tax credit for EVs, even when the lease isn’t free.
Got to be honest, little disappointed in Dragon’s description being “awesome” while the other two got interesting details.
For a Lucid Air?
I don’t think Jalopnik should note prices AFTER the federal tax credit. Not everyone can take full advantage of said tax credit .
I do 4-5 long towing trips a year (5-9 hours, boat or flat bed trailer with ATVs). I very badly want an electric truck. But the 9 hour tow is already a long dam day, and I don’t want to arrive after dark. Pre-Covid I was going to get an electric commuter, and keep the truck for long drives and truck stuff.
My manual says use 89. I use 89. I’m not sure what is hard for you to understand about that.
5.7l Ram 1500
I’d use that bridge/tunnel.
You’re making Cigarette Butt Plug’s point for him.
Trucks are awesome for carrying outdoor (read: gross) things but terrible for hauling outdoorsy things.
Some utilities (no idea if it is a majority or minority) have opt-in time of use rates.
Someone could, and someone should. But that isn’t what you did.
What real world evidence? Comparing the impact of towing on the range of a standard pickup vs the impact to low Cd. EV? No shit adding a sail behind a model Y is going to hurt its range more than tucking the same sail behind the much larger pickup. But that would also be true if you LS swapped the model Y. It isn’t…
This isn’t how physics works.
Considering this is Seattle, that is very unlikely to be yellow pine. Douglas Fir or Hemlock seem more likely. No idea if this has any impact, I kind of doubt it changes the math significantly.
If I understood the article, the cars to be towed are on opposite coasts. So two trips, 1 car per. Not a double load on a single trip.
