I went to a bar in eastern Oregon in November. Bar tender told me to take my mask off. It really happens. 

The problem is the most cost effective way to green the grid is not residential rooftop solar. I’d be pretty annoyed at my bill going up to supsidize a bunch of affluent people green washing their McMansions.

You think your neighbors should have to pay for the cost of grid upgrades driven by your solar installation?

Im guessing that approval wasn't official or documented, otherwise the utility wouldn't have a leg to stand on.

Most utilities will comp the transformer if the customer is using a bunch of power. For your example, assuming retail rate net metering, it makes sense to charge the generator the cost of required upgrades.

My concern is for the planet. And the future of the human race.

I think you got that wrong, I think the transmission is between the wheels and the electric motor.

Though not often used in heavy duty truck applications, but prevalent in the off-road rally world, coil springs are generally considered better than leaf springs when it comes to ride and handling.

I’d bet the answer is yes. But it would cost more. Its not going to just be one or two of these, it is three per tower. And a bunch of towers per farm(triple digits).

I think you dropped a decimal from your profits. Amazon did not make $115B in profit on $280B in revenue. Their margins can’t be that good. 

You don’t get to pocket revenue, you pocket profits. Though I suspect your numbers are in fact profits, not revenue. 

You do realize it is an electric motor they are replacing, right?
