What real world evidence? Comparing the impact of towing on the range of a standard pickup vs the impact to low Cd. EV? No shit adding a sail behind a model Y is going to hurt its range more than tucking the same sail behind the much larger pickup. But that would also be true if you LS swapped the model Y. It isn’t

This isn’t how physics works.

Considering this is Seattle, that is very unlikely to be yellow pine. Douglas Fir or Hemlock seem more likely. No idea if this has any impact, I kind of doubt it changes the math significantly.

If I understood the article, the cars to be towed are on opposite coasts. So two trips, 1 car per. Not a double load on a single trip.

No.

I went to a bar in eastern Oregon in November. Bar tender told me to take my mask off. It really happens.

The problem is the most cost effective way to green the grid is not residential rooftop solar. I’d be pretty annoyed at my bill going up to supsidize a bunch of affluent people green washing their McMansions.

You think your neighbors should have to pay for the cost of grid upgrades driven by your solar installation?

Im guessing that approval wasn't official or documented, otherwise the utility wouldn't have a leg to stand on.

Most utilities will comp the transformer if the customer is using a bunch of power. For your example, assuming retail rate net metering, it makes sense to charge the generator the cost of required upgrades.

My concern is for the planet. And the future of the human race.

Back in 2018, a trade group that represents John Deere promised farmers that it would help them prevent lawmakers from passing repair regulations that would make tractor repair next to impossible via software locks that would make it impossible for farmers to repair their equipment at home.

I think you got that wrong, I think the transmission is between the wheels and the electric motor.

Sounds heavy.

Though not often used in heavy duty truck applications, but prevalent in the off-road rally world, coil springs are generally considered better than leaf springs when it comes to ride and handling.

My favorite heat exchanger is also this guy's wife.

Boooooo!

I’d bet the answer is yes. But it would cost more. Its not going to just be one or two of these, it is three per tower. And a bunch of towers per farm(triple digits).

I think you may need to reread the quoted statement.
