After watching tonight's Arrow, I guess the chronology is kinda iffy.

That would have been perfect watching Lance flounder with that ridiculous defense AND try not to implicate himself in the process. Everyone on the force knows he’s been abetting the Arrow for quite some time. There would be a trial, and there would be some evidence, but in the end, Oliver would be acquitted and then…

I found that silly for the show. The CC PD surely could have handled some of those and left Barry alone for his date. The guy needs a day off. Even Superman doesn't try to do it all all the time.
