Only that it only includes a Standard size map. :) I know it sounds petty, but I like to play on the giant earth maps, with 24 civs, have the game last weeks.

I'm cool with using mods, except for the annoying part that they don't "count" towards your achievements, or record in the Hall of Fame, that sort of thing. I want my credit, damn it!
I saw they had a big update, but I haven't had a chance to give it a whirl yet. The most important piece of the update, to me: the inclusion of an earth map.
Then it's a battle to the death! Pistol or the sword: I defer to you, good sir. I'll meet you on the moors at midnight.
The hacking Specialist is way better than I thought it would be - it was the last build that I experimented with, and now I think it would be really difficult to get through the game without one.
I LOVE the Untouchable promotion. But I don't mix and match much (though I should have with the Ranger). I tend to find that the promotions on one side of the tree work well together. Again, apart from the Ranger, but I'm really only discovering that on this run through. The skill combination you listed sounds killer.…
This is a good heads-up - thanks.
Wow - somebody asked! I've been wanting to talk about this forever. :)
This weekend I will (finally!) almost certainly finish X-Com 2. I loved this game. If you haven't played it yet, you should.

F4 was 2015? Jesus. It seems so recent.
You had cool kids in your journalism class? How'd that happen?
The same thing drove me away from F4. I was having fun with it, but you quickly realize that 90% of the quests are "go to the [home/hospital/warehouse] and kill the [raiders/ghouls/mutants]. Come back." It was bad.
I don't think you can go wrong with BG or System Shock (I never finished System Shock). I'd be interested, though, in what the BG series looks like to someone with no nostalgia for it, though. Every piece of it - the mechanics, the hybrid real time/turn based system, the companion system complete with side quests, and…
Interesting that I haven't seen any love for Fallout 4 or Civilization 6 in these articles or their comments sections. I'm not bringing any love either, but it's surprising that nobody seems to hold either game in any great esteem.
I liked X-Com 2 because I've wiped and started over something like 60 times and I keep coming back. Play this game, play in on Ironman right out of the box. It's fantastic and frustrating. One of my favorite gaming experiences ever, and I still haven't come all that close to finishing it.
I'm a little burned out too, but come on, man - you've GOT to finish them! :)
What turned me off was the sheer number of ways you were able to interact with each item. It was overwhelming. I was moving at a crawl. I know, I know - that's the way adventure games work.
For all that I've played, I still don't understand run 'n gun. I'm sure it's simple, but what does it do? How does it work?
That is a REALLY good tip. I never tried that. Thanks!
