Kick ass on the driving test!
Kick ass on the driving test!
I've never played any of the Metroid games, but people love them so much that I have to give them a shot.
I forgot about Nuclear Throne! That game is great. I'm going to play that this weekend.
Grenadiers and Rangers are great choices. I'd also spec a Specialist in combat - not just medic. They're WAY better than you'd think they'd be.
I've got to give The Day of the Tentacle another shot. I love adventure games in theory; in reality, the only one I've ever finished without using a guide is Grim Fandango. And that's just a tribute to how desperately I loved that world. I usually run out of patience almost immediately, which I don't like about…
OK, getting excited! We moved a few months ago, and I haven't set up my PS4 yet, but this seems like as good a reason as any to do it. Maybe I'll plug it in after the wife and son are asleep tonight.
Damn, dude. I never thought I'd want to pick up Fallout 4 again, but Survival mode sounds intriguing….
Oh yeah - I've been playing since Civ I.
This weekend I'll continue my desultory poking at Civilization VI, Ultima V, maybe Curse of the Azure Bonds or Alien. Or maybe try my eightieth run at X-Com 2 on Ironman mode (I got so far a couple weeks ago before wiping out!).
I was a little confused about the timeline here. How long was it between this episode and the last? I got the vibe at first that the two of them had been long settled into some kind of routine, but that can't be right. The divorce would have progressed further.
Aw. I haven't listened to U2 in a decade, at least, but now I want to go back and binge.
Wait a damn second, now. Season 1 of Justified is highly underrated. Just the opening scene of the pilot is worth the price of admission. Which is zero dollars, so it was a stupid metaphor, but whatever. That hat is awesome. I'm the only person in my office right now, and I had two beers with lunch.
Dude, I'm cracking up right now. Maybe it's because I just had two beers at lunch, but I'm picturing the cast sitting down to lunch at a diner with one of those shitty jukeboxes every few episodes, and the show never explaining it. THAT'S comedy.
That's the one where, after Rachel and Ross break up for the first of four thousand times, Rachel finds a new boyfriend who is more or less exactly like Ross (and is played by David Schwimmer). It's awful.
THAT'S a good pick. The Americans is really amazing - I fully expect everyone to "discover" it in a year or two and spend a lot of time catching up, ala Breaking Bad - but I can't imagine trying to watch it from the beginning again.
How about Fringe? That was a really good show that, once you know the answer to the mystery, doesn't seem worth revisiting. Sort of like Lost.
How has no one brought up the X-Files until now?
Part of it, at least, is that David's plotlines didn't hold up as well as I remembered. I loved his relationship with Keith in the first season, but it goes to hell much quicker than I thought.
Yup. And if the "scrolls" contained so much useful information, how come they never seemed to read ahead? Might have helped. Why do they only learn about these passages after they've come to pass?
I've got to agree that Six Feet Under probably has the world's best series finale. I convinced my wife to give the show a shot just based on my love for that episode. But I couldn't rewatch it, and she lost interest because of that. I don't know - there's not as much there as I remembered.
