This is the absolute correct response. To quote nobody: “hit ‘em where they ain’t.” Now, intentionally hitting to the opposite field when it’s not natural is too hard. Bunting can work well. The next logical step, against those who can bunt, is to NOT SHIFT. That’s how it can be beaten without stupid legislation

Shit like this is why banning the shift is dumb. I know, I know, it’s way harder than it looks to use the half of the field that is wide open, especially when the models say that pulling the ball and hitting monster dongs is most efficient.
