Thanks! Looking for recipe for the seitan itself-I’ve tried a few recipes and they never come out as good as the (expensive)Upton’s brand they have at the organic grocer. This one looks very promising—i don’t think any recipe I’ve tried used broth for both the dough and the simmer. I’ll try it this weekend! Thank you!

Thanks!—Certainly—I don’t prefer it to meat at all, just enjoy it as a healthier and more eco-friendly protein option from time to time, especially since as I’ve stated, I can’t abide beans or peas—I gave a fair shot to tofu as well but just couldn’t find it palatable in any preparation—not even fried!

Thanks but I don’t eat beans or peas, or really any vegetables. (the texture makes me gag) I’m curious—Why don’t your vegan friends dig on seitan? I enjoy the store-bought stuff cus I think it has a better texture and flavor than other “fake meat” products but it’s expensive as heck so I’m better off just buying

Can anybody recommend a good recipe for seitan?

You’re not wrong. All it would take for Dolt 45 to start making a big push for single-payer would be to calmly lay out the benefit, and then lean in close and whisper...”and Obama wasn’t able to do it.”

Hah! I think I remember that from an old podcast or something

And most of the good stuff in Clerks Animated was probably David Mandel’s contributions.

I would have been fine with the The Thing poster if it had had visible crease marks on it, like it had been folded up and shipped flat in an envelope. Most of the posters I’d see in shitty movie theaters and VHS rental places in the 80s looked like that.

Kitty!

Kitty!

Serious Eats recently alerted me to the wonders of Datu Puti cane vinegar, and my pork and chicken dishes have never been the same. That stuff is the shit.

Boobs.

Man, I’m a daily visitor to the Gizmodo Group sites, and even so, reading AV Club in this format is jarring.
