So the Lamby thing was fucked up. You are always supposed to return a rescue to the rescue facility, or rehome the pet with their involvement. But this is totally different, and is so unbelievably callous. An old dog died. That's pretty normal. I'm also grossed out. 

You know what, I don’t get outwardly pissed at Jezebel or individual writers very often, but this whole article and it’s not-so-subtle subtext is horrible. It’s disgusting and y’all should be ashamed.

This doesn’t surprise me. Cycles of abuse are self-perpetuating. I’m surprised more people aren’t pointing out how distressingly similar the details of this assault are to her allegation against Weinstein: the grooming and isolating of the victim, providing alcohol before attacking etc. It’s infuriating to think…

So long as the lawsuits are paid out using tax funds and not their own pensions, they’ll never actually care.

My brother’s a cop, and he tries the “bad apple” defense of shitty cops to which my reply is “so why are the ‘bad apples’ always fiercely defended by the bunch?”

What if I said I was going to eat the entire cake myself. Would he deny me for being a glutton? 

If he stopped baking cakes for everything that Christianity considers a “sin”, he’d be out of business. Does he bake wedding cakes for divorcees? Birthday cakes for out of wedlock children? Anniversary cakes for adulterers? He’s selectively choosing which “sins” he wants to pay attention to and that’s not right.

Gee, it’s almost like he’s not playing multi-dimensional chess, but that he’s a thin-skinned little narcissist with terrible impulse control. 

Seriously.  If I could afford to move out of this shithole state, I would.
