Also, does he not realize that he was likely taught in school about how wonderful capitalism (especially over that dirty socialism they have in the Soviet Union!) in school and that maybe this is a part of why he’s such a fan?

That is certainly fair. Though I feel like it can be hard to admit to yourself that you are cutting someone out forever. Especially since the letter writer apparently wants to get back with her because she is sad.

1. My soon-to-be-ex wanted a second chance. I told her no, not after what you did and said. However I feel kind of guilty about it. She has also gone back to bouncing aimlessly between job to job again and I feel sorry for her.
