“we are certainly approaching the pandemic’s conclusion”

Yeah, if we found out Judge Judy (who is/was the undisputed juggernaut of daytime, demolishing everyone else except maybe Oprah in her heyday) was an obscenely nasty piece of work, we’d be like “Hey that’s Judy for you” and keep drinking our raspberry blast Powerade.

Dinish was more of a “nice guy” than a nice guy. Kumail’s affability let the character get by with a lot of toxic behavior.

She once referred to Nanjiani as “the worst”. Considering that she was working with TJ Miller (who is a violent monster) and Middleditch (apparently some kind of pervy sex predator), what does “the worst” mean? Like, he used the last of the coffee creamer? Or he’s a serial killer?

This whole situation in Hollywood feels like a new Chris Rock bit. “’I ain’t never sexually harassed/assaulted anybody!’ What do you want, a cookie?!? You’re not supposed to sexually harass/assault anybody, you low-expectation-having motherfucker!”

To be fair he always looks squirmy.

Thomas Middleditch is what you’d get if you asked someone to draw a caricature of a white man running a pick-up artist seminar at a gaming convention.

I always dance like nobody’s watching. Which is why I have that sign up in my living room in rose gold.

Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are prime examples of TV and Film being collective art. It takes a lot of people doing good, hard work to make these things. It’s more than just the writing and acting. It’s the music, the locations, the costumes, the props, etc.

i think it was featured in The Righteous Gemstones.

i once played “bucky” in a play about comic books! it was a story about captin america battling a female communist agent. i had prosthetic buck teeth!

I’d say he’s more the Steve Jobs. He doesn’t actually make anything, but he knows how to put together the things that other people make into the best possible whole.

I think that Feige is going to become the new Stan Lee. In that as the face of the MCU he’s given a lot of the credit for the work of more creative people.

Anyone who gives a fuck about Bucky...is a Sugar Baby with some serious self-esteem issues.

I’ve finally finished Moby Dick. Took several months of hiathus and also I enjoyed it far more reading it in small 10-15 page doses rather than plowing through.

So the Ava Gardner-canoodling producer is for sure Robert Evans—the legendary “kid stays in the picture” story is about the movie The Sun Also Rises, in which they costarred

“Dark would be Mrs Doubtfire being raped in prison. That could happen in my movie,” - Zack Snyder.

Funny story: Clerks was NC-17 just for language, and since that would have ruined the thing’s chances of ever making money, they needed to get it down to an R. Instead of cuts, Miramax’s lawyer petitioned the MPAA to lower the rating.

The lawyer? Alan Dershowitz.

AV Club's M.O. these days is lazily scrolling through Twitter, stopping on something that barely qualifies as interesting, let alone "news," and thinking "can I squeeze 300 words out of this?...I can't? Ah, well, nonetheless."

How is this news? Next will we find out he’s in a dad band, or that when he goes out to the garage, he just looks at porn on his phone and sighs?
