I was driving through rural Wisconsin and we stopped for food. The only option was <trigger warning to foodies> cheddar cheese pizza. It was... weird. Not terrible, but not really pizza. I think this needs to be noted in the discussion of midwestern pizza.

Yeah, one thing that could _never_ happen in this country is electing a black president.

Hey now, Celtics fans invented “Beat L.A.” in the Bird-Johnson era.

The Red Sox organization was just being careful. If Schilling turns out to be the #MAGAbomber it would be embarrassing.

#MAGABomber is trending on twitter.

You know who should have been ejected from that game? The announcers. They were epically bad. Play by play couldn’t keep up and they were acting like it’s radio, not tv: “His teammates are helping him up off the floor” [as camera shows teammates helping Embiid up after a play] They started the broadcast saying they

Exactly. It’s evil week, not asshole week.

Not sure that explains it. We have Kinsler and Holt to platoon at 2nd. Pearce and Moreland at first. And Holt can play pretty much anywhere. I think it’s more that our 3B position has generally been a problem, with Devers not turning into the superstar we needed him to be. Managing this team is all about deciding when

I’m expecting them to start punting on 3rd down.

You want advanced analytics? They should consider scoring more points than their opponents.

Great. Now Bellichick has to game plan for a QB who throws 3 INTS/game instead of one who throws 5/half.

That sucks that the Bills lost by just 16 safeties.

Yeah, he deserves love just for beaning Manny Machado last year (and getting suspended for it). Would be nice if he got to face him in the World Series.

Agree with this take. One exception would be pitching. There were moments when I thought I was watching a little league game. BBs and HBPs and even a run walked in. It’s not like they were pitching around guys. It’s like every pitcher in every game was scared to be up there.

I read this on the new Kinja site called The Whistle.

I love seeing the home-grown guys come through: Bradley, Benintendi, Betts, Bogarts, Devers, and Vazquez were all great this series. It’s so good for the sport when you can develop the warm fuzzies for guys who come into a system and build careers there. I hope to never see any of those guys wearing pinstripes.

That disappearing teacher is in the midst of a lecture explaining how Boyles Law vindicates the Patriots from any deflategate charges.

I feel you. I’m a guy who likes to enjoy time on the deck but need some citronella torches to keep the mosquitoes away. And also does not believe the “Jews Will Replace Us.” (well, I am a Jew, so...)

I like that the first angle shows us what Jaylen will look like in 10 years when he goes bald.

Agree. We’ve turned a corner.
