I do actually really love airports, because they're exciting places that I don't get to go to often and when I'm there it means I'm travelling somewhere else, plus you can look at lots of people going to lots of other places. It's like being in some sort of limbo where normal life is mostly suspended.

Yes, let's have people with twee American accents.

I have never, never, never understood why many, many non-English people find Harry so attractive… but now he looks really good. He should be a wild outdoorsy type forever!

We always just used Facetime, Google Voice, etc… it was fine, but we had to print a bunch of nonsense off for our application in lieu of a bloody phone bill!

Mine (for another country) was massive, too. We had *everything*. They should really update the "just send us your phone bill" thing — who can afford international calls?!

I don't know why I'm interested in this, but is that a "for show" tree and the family have something less crazy and not so roped-off in their actual living room?

…and now, of course, I have the same habit after being in America too long. Damn it!

I once had Americans in London tell me they were going to Oxford to do some shopping, which seemed mental… until I eventually figured out that they were just randomly dropping the "Street" in "Oxford Street". Aww.

Hurray! I'm glad we figured it out! Sometimes emoji show up for me on my iPhone and Mac but not for other people on other devices… maybe it's an Apple thing?

My husband's granddad apparently said he didn't want the grandchildren to speak Spanish, so they almost all don't… I'm studying it, though, so perhaps my kids will bring it back!

Is it the ones at the end of her caption here:

Aha! I knew there was a reason I don't go on Tumblr anymore!

This is the ONLY place I have ever heard "slut shaming" and "trigger warning", and it's where I see "privilege" and "problematic" and "appropriation" 99% of the time, too. Recently I've realised that it's best for me to just stop reading any piece as soon as I see one of those buzzwords — I feel like those pieces are

There was! I've seen it at least three times. It's always on.

Right; I'm saying that people generally told me that was wrong.

I seriously thought this was Stacey Solomon and Emmy Rossum before I read it.

Cute! That's much better than my involuntary mental image of a tiny baby in fishnets and nipple tassels!

This is totally off topic, but I gasped at "baby stockings" — to me, stockings are the old-school one-on-each-leg like-tights-without-a-top things held up by a garter belt, and I had a vision of a little burlesque baby. (And then I Google image searched, and it turns out "baby stockings" are American for "baby

THANK YOU. It's like when people say someone "became a mother for the second time" — NO.
