I think it is less about the gender than it is the cultural counting of heredity. Regardless of what the son does, the name is carried on. There will be a next generation of Jordan’s and Wade’s and James’. Kobe died. There won’t be anymore Bryant’s. Now certainly he could have grandsons who play basketball etc...but

So, mothers and fathers are just that, mothers and fathers. However, when you have multiple children and they are all of one gender, there is a uniqueness to it. Raising girls or being a father of girls is a far different calling than that of one raising boys. The techniques, goals, intentionality of the task are

While I think that the #boymom is redundant, mom’s are mom’s and if they demand more from their sons there might be less rape one day, there is definitely a #girldad.  You just can’t dad your son as you do your girl.

If I were in charge of ESPN Elle Duncan, Malika Andrews and Cassidy Hubbard would be the only women I would employ.  The rest can go.  I might be convinced to keep Rachel Nichols too...but it ends there.

I don’t know man, I mean Gina Rodriguez recommended it. Isn’t she Latina?

I have not read this book.  I don’t really like buying books.  I am going to buy this one and find out what all this fuss is about.  This seems like an overreaction.

Seems like an overreaction.

Great show. Hard to believe they (and I) have all grown up. So much talent too. They show up all over the place now, either in bit parts or starring roles. Try 7 Degrees of Degrassi and see what you find.

I am so distraught over this continued issue within the leadership (male dominated) of the Catholic Chuch. These are men that should be serving Jesus and his sheep, not their own perverted and distorted desires.

This is completely not true.  Minorities all over the country are flourishing under the Trump administration’s policies.

I think people get confused here. Everyone from a certain pov is equal. But, what people are really talking about is being treated equitably.  Some issues in our society can’t be solved with equality.  There needs to be an equitable solution.  Social justice in many ways is one of those.  But, due to cost and the

What do you mean by that though? Equal how? Individually? Collectively? Economically? Intellectually?

Sure there is equal but different.  Just look around you.  Look at your own home.  Look at your significant other.  Doesn’t mean we have to follow all societal constructs in our relationships, but the differences to provide some sense in determining the roles we play to get the best outcome in a relationship.

What do you mean “he never atoned.” In 2005 based on legal counsel advice he fulfilled the settlement agreement in the civil lawsuit with his accuser. That restitution is exactly what “atonement” in in a legal sense.

While you make a simplistic point, it is much more complicated. Remember, Kobe never admitted to raping her. He admitted to an encounter that he recognized she felt differently than him about. It did not go to criminal court b/c her counsel felt her case had holes and her mock trial went south quickly. It was a mercy

I would even argue that a young rich and beautiful man with all the money in the world having only one “rape allegation” against him is pretty good.  With all the women throwing themselves at him and he having his own desires, with “consent” being the only difference b/n consensual and rape, it is shocking he didn’t

Very good article.

I am not sure you listened very well.  Dershowitz was on point with very strong objective facts and application.  This whole charade should be over.

Alan Dershowitz seems like the only adult in the room.  This is over.  Time to shut this scam down.

Let’s be clear about what that journalist did with her free speech.  She looked at a tragic situation and decided that what she needed to do was remind his wife and 17yr old daughter that in the midst of their personal tragedy that they shouldn’t forget about a 2003 rape allegation.  Just gross.
