Have you forgotten how ‘Ok’ WCIII was, and then how forgettable WC4 and Prophecy were? How unlimited money and nothing to reign him in were his downfall?

So, I bought a PC (well, got my mom to buy a PC) way back when Wing Commander II blew my socks off when I saw it at a friend’s house. Then, WCIII comes out years later, unplayable on PCs yet invented. And every game since, Chris Roberts (and to an extent, his brother) show that clearly, with too much money and nothing…
Yes, came to say this. Always baffling. When I’m sitting there and the car in front of me keeps moving a little and stopping, I keep wondering where this magic space keeps coming from, and why everyone doesn’t just move to behind the car in front of them in the first place. I get it that there will be some slack, but…
How are the TCX shoes?
Sounds like you’re over in the UK. The utilitarian, pragmatic look at motorcycles over there means gearing up is the professional way to do things - here in the USA, bikes are mostly toys, and responsibility viewed as an impediment to fun. GIS ‘Daytona Bike week’ for some great pics.
Well said. Coolest solution I found was a compression workout shirt under a good quality mesh jacket, refresh with dumping a glass of water down it about every hour if you can manage. And sunscreen on the back of your neck.
Yeah, as mentioned, wearing a good mesh/textile jacket keeps you cooler than just wearing a T, as it stops the sun from directly hitting your skin (good textiles insulate you). Found this out riding in Florida. Dainese and Icon have some good mesh solutions.
Yeah it looks like a bunch of those space jerk Taidans!
Exactly - separating the balance aspect from the locomotion aspect makes learning both much easier than trying to do everything at once. And any adult bike can become a balance bike by slamming the seat and popping the pedals off.
One Hundred and Eight US Dollars of Destiny!
Hearing Lambert yell at me because I started WWIII was always kinda funny at least
The most effective thing the United States has ever deployed in an effort to transform or turn belligerent actors into neutral or favorable ones isn’t a weapon, it’s Coca-Cola and television footage from our beaches.
Well said. They’re going to mess around with nukes, one way or another. Prefer for their position to see the nukes as an albatross rather than a positive thing; if they have trade and business beyond borders, using a nuke will be a terrible idea. If they’re a hermit nation, they won’t care.
In my opinion, with sanctions Iran would just develop nukes anyway, and the average Iranian would suffer. With greater trade, money flow, travel and opportunity, the public will of Iran can shift over time, making those nukes a detriment to the country instead of a resource. It’s not impossible to imagine a future…
I felt like Splinter Cell was the MGS that eschewed gameplay for more realism. I liked the first SC, but it was a different, more frustrating game. I love that Hideo has balanced things so well in MG.
While Angry Video Game Nerd wore out his schtick almost immediately, his first Let’s Play NES TMNT remains amazing. Laughs every time the un-reachable full pizza comes up.
I think Pizza Hut’s new skinny pizzas are pretty good.
Everytime I see that commercial I imagine the contest winner is eventually like, ‘Hey, can I drive one of the race prepped Altimas, and not this one?’
When you beef up the steel in the unibody, the interior room shrinks too. :( Yesterday’s 5 star crash rating is today’s 4 star, etc. We’re sort of in a death spiral as far as what is ‘acceptable’ crash performance.
