My father was a member of the RCAF (Royal Canadian Air Force) during WW2, trained as a RADAR technician and seconded to the RAF. When he trained, it was all top secret. He didn’t really talk about his part in the war (he would rather tell funny stories), but he always said that RADAR won the Battle of Britain.

Hey now, don’t speak ill of Saturn - they will always have a special place in my heart. We moved to the U.S. in 1995 from Canada. We had a sterling credit rating in Canada, but apparently that ended at the 49th parallel. We had to replace all of our credit cards, and buy a lot of stuff, but everyone was suspicious of

As a naturalized American, I learned about the various U.S. forces mostly through TV and movies when I was a child in another country - not really the best way to learn. After moving here, I once talked to a gentleman who had been a Marine, and referred to him as an ex-Marine. He became very angry and told me that the

Oh, you should watch it - it is really well done.

I also do not want to wait two weeks, but then I don’t want it to be over either. I know they just started filming the second season, so goodness knows how long we are going to have to wait to see it. It is only 13 episodes, so hopefully when they do show season 2 it will be all at once, and not broken into two parts

I yelped out loud a few times watching this episode. I think this is the first episode of a TV show I have watched where even the sound of what was going on terrified me: the sounds of the people being hanged at the beginning of the episode (particularly the poor leader of the watch), and then Jamie being tortured,

Smexy Books is also a good site for book recommendations.

Cara McKenna was at RT. I heard her speak as part of a panel called “All Shapes: Body Positivity and Plus-Size Characters in Romance”. It was really good. If you haven’t read her other stuff, I recommend Bound, Hard Time, Curio, and After Hours. At the talk, she said the heroine in Bound was very similar to herself -

No, she died of the flu.

I am so excited - I am here too! Today I met Tessa Dare, Cherise Sinclair, Cara McKenna, … , and too many other authors to mention. Everyone is really nice, and really encouraging to those of us who are trying to get published for the first time. I hope I see you somewhere at the convention.

My mother was schizophrenic, and was never really treated. She died a few years ago at the age of 89. I basically raised myself. It was hell. I understand your feelings, and while I am sorry that there are others out there who understand the misery of my childhood, I am kind of grateful that there are others out there

Yup, that is one of them.

I think the casting people have done a wonderful job with this show. The actress who plays Jenny is wonderful, and I wasn’t too sure about Ian last week, but he did a great job this week with the PTSD after he killed Horrocks. It makes me hopeful about next season, and on into future seasons, because I really love

I haven’t listened to Ron Moore’s podcast for the episode yet, but someone who has tells me that he states it is the actual penis, not a prop. And, Tobias Menzies tweeted last week something about who needs a modesty pouch, which didn’t make sense at the time, but now does.

Your understanding is wrong. He snogged with her after he took the punishment for her. He was just being a nice guy.

I love, love, love my Epicurean cutting boards. They are made of wood and you can put them in the dishwasher. I have one large and one small one that I have used for a few years, and they are still great. I have tried other kinds of cutting boards, and they are not as good for cutting. I hate how plastic the

My son was taking Karate lessons when this movie came out, and every 8 year old in the class pretended they were Darth Maul when it came time for the lessons with the bo staff. I have never seen such love for the bad guy, but everyone knew that a double sided light saber was better than a single one.

Courtney Milan writes books exactly like what you want. See her Brothers Sinister series, starting with The Governess Affair and then The Duchess War, which are both currently free on Amazon. One of the later books is The Suffragette Scandal - lots of good feminist themes throughout, and the sex scenes are good too.

I group up in the land of pop, now I live in the land of soda. I sometimes get confused when I travel and can't remember what I am supposed to call it (and then my family laughs at me).
