At the very least an I6 hybrid would have been a better move imo

Funny, that’s EXACTLY what I commented on just yesterday:
Assenbled in......Wuhan!
Not only that, but adjusting for inflation incomes were much higher, too.
California makes these pronouncements from time to time, usually with no science/manufacturing to back it up. This time, it may work.
In the UK the stereotype of the Jag driver is that of an aging boomer in a tracksuit topped by a wreath of gold necklaces.
I did just that, I cross shopped the Supra, Z4 and a used F-Type S. All were excellent cars, and on paper are very close, but they lacked a feeling I got from the F-Type. Subjective as it may be.
The build quality on the Supra/Z4 interior is what you’d expect from BMW and Toyota, and likewise the quality on the…
I could see why you would. Neither of those has the effortless looks or panache of the Jaguar, which is a lot of what you’re paying for. The Supra is love-it-or-hate-it (I love it, personally, but others don’t), and the Z4 (as with all modern BMW roadsters since the original Z3 and Z8) is more interesting than…
How does an $84,650 Hummer qualify if the cap is $80,000? And a Lucid Air? And a Tesla S? And a Tesla X?
If your pithy two-word slogan requires a lengthy two-page essay to explain, it’s a bad slogan.
Here’s a thought. If you don’t want people to believe you are advocating for an “absurdly reductive position,” then don’t make your slogan absurdly reductive.
Even if you want to post your argument all over Twitter with a 140 character limit, you can do better than “ban cars.”
There are still 60 million people living…
Good god, why can’t the twitter-left invent slogans that aren’t awful and require a couple thousand words to explain. “Defund the Police” basically polled worse than cancer, and “Ban Cars” will likely do worse. They’ll look great in a right-wing ad claiming that’s precisely what the left wants.
The goal of “the ban cars movement,” as I see it, is not to render cars obsolete. It’s to give people the choice to live a life where car ownership, and car dependence, are unnecessary — regardless of socioeconomic status or physical ability to operate an automobile.
I’d rather have the security of a car cabin, than the vulnerability of a bike. #BanBikes
BAN CARS!
I used to think of myself as a pretty progressive person, but lately the stuff I’ve been reading on here (and other places, of course) has really made me rethink that.
I’m going to star this multiple times.
I thought that we’d all decided that all speed limits do is increase revenue to police departments and give them “probable cause” to profile and detain minorities.
Poor Jalopnik. https://jalopnik.com/this-is-the-best-takedown-of-the-speed-kills-myth-you-1302382244
Not only that, but calling it a “car movie” is absurd. It’s a gritty neo-noir film that happens to have a really fucking awesome scene involving cars. It stands on its own without the chase scene. Car movies are movies where the cars or driving are central to the plot.
