As a real life Spongebob Squarepants, I fit just fine!

Good catch. Looked into it and technically it’s adapted from CLAR, but not the same. I’ll clarify that.

Agreed. And, in that metallic grey... *chef’s kiss.

I love these cars more each time I see them. Perfect.

Or because like myself, you like to listen to your engine but your knee is shot so pushing a clutch isn’t in the cards.

Considering the Z4 has been so meh that BMW was going to kill it I’d feel pretty confident that my money would go elsewhere without having driven it.

And not only a sports car, but a sports car with an inline 6

Agreed. There’s one near me with a Mk4-esque hoop spoiler and some front end splitter treatment that looks absolutely fantastic. These cars have grown on me in a big way since they came out.

Looking at pictures on the internet is a terrible way to judge a car. Criticizing how it was derived is just dumb.

The Supra is the right answer but...

The Supra is a great recommendation. I’m convinced that everyone that bashes it online has never been in one.

I really like the Emira, but at $100k+ the elephant in the room is the C8 Z06 (or Cayman/Boxster with the 4.0). The Emira may be Lotus’ send off to ICE vehicles, but there really isn’t anything special about either engine option being offered (V6 or I4). That’s not to say they aren’t good engines, but both are carry

I like Lotus as much as the next guy, but 100k?

Always conveniently forgetting that torque matters too - the Camry only has 267lb-ft to the BMW’s 295-385lb-ft depending on engine and year. And you get most of it at any time, not just when revving the nuts off the thing. Though that matters less with an autotragic than a manual.

The arms race in the mid-size/large sedan category was really under appreciated. 300 hp Camry. The 2017 325hp Ford Fusion Sport. The 2017 Accord v6 with 270hp (pour one out for the v6). Even the old 2005 Altima SE-R with 260hp.

Can I just say that this article is the type of content that brought me to Jalopnik in the first place and I’m happy to see it here again!

The European market still gets what was the 2020 model in the US. But that one made 339 hp at the wheels when C&D put it on a dyno. So it had about 380 hp at the crank and the 2021+ US models advertised with 382 hp are pushing over 400.

If you believe the Supra has only 335 hp, I have some swampland in Florida that may be of interest to you. It dynos for 339 hp *at the wheels*. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a27543113/2020-toyota-supra-dyno-horsepower/

Did you heard about the LFA, ISF, RCF, GSF, LC500, GR Supra, or GT86?

Opinion from Scott Mansell, an actual British racer who knows the track, was that Hamilton was at fault and understeered into Max.
