Chinese oligarchs the world over must be very upset.
At least we won’t have to hear the frequent refrain about how we should all emulate Sweden, particularly on health issues, after this pandemic.
Forgot to add FWD to “what’s weak”.

Link? I’m not saying the airplane won’t have touchscreens, just that there’s a reason many controls will never migrate to them. When you’re stalling and falling a few hundred feet per second and experiencing tremendous G-forces, I don’t think you’re going to be able to navigate touchscreen menus as well as toggles,…
What about the Supra? 😂
Perhaps. But the two are highly correlated.
You mean there’s a reason airliners aren’t just full of touchscreens even though we have the technology for it?
Shockingly, much of the planet not as woke as expected.
I think Chapman would be far more repulsed by the off-brand, also-ran hypercar powered by 1000+ lbs of lithium-ion batteries that Lotus’s Chinese overlords are ramming through than a carbon fiber Lotus 7 with a bigger engine...
The Evora is great, no doubt. Agree that it’s overpriced and should be around $50-80k to be competitive. It’s also sad how the Chinese owners apparently don’t understand or care what Lotus’s ethos has been about since its founding. An electric hypercar is diametrically opposed to “add lightness”. It’s like somebody…
Sounds like they’re headed down Spyker’s path, unfortunately. I wish there were more small companies making cars like these, that deliver truly emotive driving experiences for relatively affordable prices. Instead we get every carmaker trying to build the next electric hypercar for millions a unit. Even Lotus has…
If you really want a sporty, automatic-only, rebadged BMW 2-seater, why would anyone get this over a Supra? You get a RWD car that was engineered to be a sports car from the start and the new 4-cylinder even undercuts the price and will probably be quicker.
The answer is always Miata.
WHY DO THEY MAKE MOVIES FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE DIFFERENT INTERESTS THAN I DO!?!?!?!?
If we can have a “Turbo” electric Porsche or a Mercedes AMG “63” with a 4.0 liter engine, then why not an RX with an in-line 6?
What about how inefficient the car is!?!?! It doesn’t get over 20 mpg city!!!!!!
-Jalopnik in 2020
If 15 MPG city isn’t acceptable, then that makes quite a few exhilarating cars unacceptable... In no particular order:
I appreciate your creativity in regurgitating my argument backwards.
The point is that mentioning ad nauseam the obvious consequences of any given passion, from performance cars to fast food, on each post of a website dedicated to said passion comes across as pedantic at best and condescending or self-righteous at worst.
Nobody had any illusions that the Challenger was an efficient…
