They’re trying to look tough on their employees after covering for Lauer for years and getting caught. It’s likely also a harebrained attempt at “balance” - i.e. “We accept criticism from the left AND the right!”

Funny how this very site had an article casting blame on Hillary Clinton in much the same way Conway did. (There was no criticism of Trump’s reaction, from what I saw.)

So what’s the deal with merging our A.V. Club accounts? What does “once legacy accounts are ready to be claimed” mean? That that’s not currently an option? And what if someone’s already taken our A.V. Club username for Kinja? Are the accounts still merge-able?
