Yeah, I wondered. But its clear that he has no mercy for little girls. Only his own family.

Post. Cassidy was a typical Irish peasant when he lived.

Jesse and Tulip are both amoral murderers. They have done terrible things to people they think deserve it. For all we know, this nice mob boss is no worse than them. The point was that she had a code and that code said don't kill your husband (she also refused to kill her fixer's husband).

Niven's Inferno was an awesome book. Its a little old to be worried about spoilers. ;) It always felt unfinished to me, though. We are given the strange impression that Geryon is an alien or intelligent robot or something that violates the strict human=sinner demon=torturer identities of the milieu. But its never

She doesn't like Cassidy because Cassidy wants to sleep with her and won't stop trying to intrude and pressure her to get closer.

They did the same in Jessica Jones.

Yep, yep. I presume its because Betty Brandt was underage when she started working for the Bugle and the director says they're waiting to introduce the Bugle later.

I certainly hope "Dad, Spider-man took your car to fight a supervillain" is part of Flash's reasoning.

Its a really unbelievable name. The cost of operating such an organization is probably impossible as well. (I've never read Damage Control)

Yes, the whole cabride one-on-one scene reminds you of the infamous Thanksgiving scene with Norman Osborn, as well. But I think the differences in how the two villains respond is fascinating displays of character.

Ah, you're right! For me, the resemblances to the familiar canon roles was too great for me to accept them as otherwise. I suppose it can be argued they want us to see this as a new universe, departing from canon.

Raimi Peter Parker tried to name himself the Spider. An alternate universe Spider-man insisted that his daughter's code-name be 'Spiderling' (I am convinced, for the sole purpose of joking about his 'spiderling').

Men In Black. Movie made from a comic book property.

John Wick was so formulaic I had trouble staying awake. There are decently stylish action movies, but that wasn't one.

Actually the review of Baby Driver I saw suggested its the epitome of cliches of music and driving.

But Flash is supposed to be the head of the Spider-man fanclub! I shan't be absolutely happy until this is so!

I thought that part was the clunky part, personally. It came off like the audience was supposed to know more about them.

I surprised to see as much of Hogan as we did, but it was a nice bookend. He was the director who brought us Iron Man, and he was basically shepherding in Spider-man.

Oh yes! Keaton's mid-credits scene made me really excited to see his character again.

Raimi had better spider acrobatics, and the Captain America movies had better combat acrobatics. None of the combat really stood out particularly great in this movie. The good thing is that the movie's quality didn't rely on that.
