Colleen constantly referred to her Japanese heritage in comics. That is how she identifies. In the show she says she spoke Mandarin as a child, but is better at Japanese now.

I've only watched 4 episodes, but it does a disservice to Oliver, frankly. Oliver had a purpose. Danny seems oblivious to anything except regaining family property.
There's just not enough depth or subtlety to the relationships as portrayed on screen, though.
In the comics, Danny gives up and appoints Joy to run things for him.
Danny is desperate; Ward comes across like he's had psychotic breaks. Either Ward can't remember..or he does remember but doesn't want to accept it.
Danny is so desperate he even wants his childhood bully to welcome him back to the family.
Daredevil, the movie. https://www.youtube.com/wat…
I think you mean soap opera.
Joy is trying to be loyal to her brother and Danny, so she faked being surprised.
I think thats changed now? Basically, Bruce's parents didn't trust any of their relatives not to cheat Bruce out of his inheritance, so they left him under Alfred's legal guardianship. I mean, we have Kate Kane and the cousin from Powerless.
Hmm. There is a communal raising thing sometimes in China. Maybe in K'un L'un its perfectly okay to whack someone else's students/kids.
Joy seems like she has two natures: the cutthroat mercernary and the genuinely caring friend. Because of her family, she has probably had lots of experience in dissembling. Which nature she shows? Which nature she is actually following? That is the mystery.
Enh. Danny IS naive. People don't sell "at cost" because it takes money to get that cure in the first place. Getting drugs through FDA is additional cost that most foreign drugs don't want to bother with. RandCo may have had a high markup, but they had a right to try and make a modest proft. Danny is NO PROFIT…
I'm doing that for "Best Martial Artist In The World."
Thats a serious statement. 'Whiney' is also correct spelling!
Her crack about Ward possibly thinking her ass was her best feature makes me wonder if teenage Ward made a pass at intern Hogarth.
It is also disturbingly warm.
She's like "Oh, you remind me of when I was innocent! But you're going to need to put me on $$retainer$$."
…It could work. Imagine if most of the Inhumans were played by Asians.
We shall have to disagree. Arrow flashbacks were so obnoxious in the first season that I had to stop watching. Frankly, anything that shows up so repetitiously on a show can be annoying.
