"Yet another reason to hate the NFL: They chose Katy Perry OVER Rihanna for the 2015 Super Bowl."

Hey! Sorry it took me so long to reply; I was commenting from my phone all day and I wanted to type you a long response. First of all, there's nothing wrong with expressing an unoriginal sentiment. A lot of things become cliches because they resonate with a lot of people. I have a problem with the way Lena goes, "This

I think people who say that you should stop hating on Lena Dunham so much should get over themselves. Yes, some of the critics against her is sexist but there ARE legitimate reasons not to like her and this is one of them. She's using a mentally i woman in the name of comedy and promotion. Like omg Amanda Bynes is

Hon, go educate yourself on odds and what exercise does.

One, her doc almost certainly prescribes exercise for her arthritis and has told her that if not for exercising, she'd be much worse off.

Two, the universe does not grant us absolutes. It does, however, grant us odds. And if you exercise regularly, the odds of

I can believe it actually that they hate her for who she is. Do they also hate on universally beloved and heavier actresses like Melissa McCarthy?

Why do you assume her "haters" dislike that she is young, smart, female, wealthy and successful when you acknowledge that she says really stupid, assholish things all the time? Why is her apparently being a total asshole not reason enough to dislike her?

Dunham has never stumbled upon a topic of conversation that she couldn't turn within four sentences into a point about how clever/awesome/special she is.

You might want to look up at the statistics. Most white women vote republican. That is a fact. In the last election most white women voted republican. Like you said republicans have sexiest views but white women keep voting for them. I will never understand why.

"Single and divorced white women don't make much more than black men of same education/employment levels"

white people ( not just white men) do benefit from the government over poc. it's called institutional racism for a reason.

"That doesn't mean this aspect of oppression isn't worth discussing, which is what lalatheevil is saying." no,they're not. lala and i are talking about the convo of racism and how it's always framed around the white man and only the white man.

lol. it's playing the oppression Olympics to bring up facts now? the most common way to frame racism is around how cis/het white men benefit from it. i have yet to see white women mentioned (on this website. on the black/woc feminist websites i visit that's not the case).

Telling some truth! Hallelujah! We still insist on framing women's unpaid labor as "career choices" they make for their own "work/life balance," i.e., doing unpaid domestic labor/reproductive labor that benefits (often) male partners. (Apologies for the hetero-specific framing of partnership here, but that construct

I wouldn't say just as much. More like slightly less, but other than that, yes, your statement is accurate.

But that was only PART of what she said. I feel like people saying OTHER people didn't listen, didn't actually listen. She basically "Well I don't know my heritage..." and immediately followed it up by repeating "But I'm HUMAN. We're ALL HUMAN!" which is the problem. I feel like people could Google this and see why

But, she called herself colorless. Everyone who is trying to refocus her comments on just the label African-American are missing the point of the criticism. Plenty of black people don't identify with that term. They don't then go on to say they are colorless humans who don't have any label whatsoever.

Really? She called herself "colorless." I'm pretty sure black people know exactly what Raven was talking about. She's just backtracking now.

That still means that over 50%, a majority, of white women voted republican. Which is what Lala said.
