Exactly. Gilbert’s description of this “muses” idea was very whimsical, but it reminded me a lot of how scientific discoveries often co-occur. Darwin and Wallace didn’t have muses whispering about natural selection, but they were reading the same scientific literature and making similar natural observations.

I’ve watched most of the first two seasons of Outlander, but I skipped that episode (I had read the books so new it was coming). Ehh, I agree, but they failed to show that and connect the dots this season. I completely agree it’s been shown in previous seasons, and I stopped being a Dany fan once it was she was on the white-savior-who-can’t-rule arc... but this season lacked the development needed to complete her arc.
