That was absolutely a concern in Britain during prior to Tudor rule—Elizabeth of York wasn’t able to inherit directly, and only became Queen because 1) Henry Tudor won the Battle of Bosworth, killed Richard III, and assumed the crown despite being fairly distantly in line and 2) marrying Elizabeth was the best way to

Wasn’t the summer of the cute slutty tankinis sometime in the 90s? Is this something that’s cycled around again?

THANK YOU!

They are both sex hormones, because they are associated with sex-specific functions (though women and men have some combination of both, and progesterone can convert to testosterone, testosterone can convert to estrogen). Men have more testosterone, women have more estrogen and progesterone, and each hormone has roles

Because they’re Peter Pans, who ignore trying to grow or learn from past relationships, and just try again with younger partners and repeat the same mistakes.

And biologically speaking, testosterone converts to estrogen in the brain. And it’s that estrogen in the brain that drives sex drive in men and women.

“Baggage” means being able to spot red flags, not willing to put up with man-baby BS, and harder to manipulate/control.

There’s also one in Mexico City, outside the US Embassy.

What the fuck is wrong with these judges? Why do they go alone with this bullshit? How can they look at a terrified toddler and think that child is anyway capable of handling or understanding that? Does the legal system drive any sense of compassion out of them? Or are does it select for people that are so racist they

That’s a gorgeous dress, and if the bride approves, who cares what anyone else thinks?

Some of the romance plot is a bit trope-y, but the author is a historian and she excels at writing her story around real people and places. A lot of her inspiration for the vampire characters are actual “shadowy” historical figures who she tried to research but couldn’t find much about... so she built these imagine

I wonder if they were doing that intentionally, as a jokey thing?

I’ve heard this, but I think it’s pretty old-fashioned advice that probably doesn’t apply to modern norms?

Yeah, it’s harder if you’re making it at the site of the barbecue/cookout, but definitely worth they yumminess if you are making it at home.

I recommend trying a caprese panzanella with sourdough bread. Basically saute cubes of sourdough in a mix of butter and olive oil until they are coated and toasted on multiple sides, than add to your usual caprese.

I think sociopaths assume that all other people are like them.

The thing is though... it doesn’t. It might seem that way if you have only read about it, or watched the first few episodes... but if you watch through the end of the first seasons, as well as the second season, it shows how the revenge fantasy doesn’t work.

You’re correct, and I think it deals with how those issues are messier are most complex compared to how they are usually portrayed for teens. It seems that they are really going for that angle in the second season as well.

I’ve watched both seasons, and it’s a show I really like. There’s certain things that I like, certain things that could be done better... but I think that’s the case for more shows.

Nice name! I’m not a serious enough equestrian to know too much about the world, but as someone getting back into the horse-y world... seems like there’s a lot of weird social dynamics (as well as trainers that are assholes).
