I have no doubt that Clinton is transphobic and adopts TERF rhetoric, but I would not call her a radical feminist by any stretch of the imagination.  Perhaps we need a new term for transphobic liberal feminists.  TELF?

The interesting thing about One Day at a Time is that it, to my knowledge, is the first show to be canceled by a streaming network and be picked up by a cable network. I hope there will be some way to save The OA, but One Day at a Time was probably cheaper and an easier pitch.

I’ll miss this show. I appreciated the new-age themes examined through a science fiction lens.

Did Williamson and Ashmore even have any scenes together?

The Black Panther Party’s free breakfast program was incredibly popular and successful. The FBI responded with COINTELPRO. I don’t think the federal or local governments wants poor children because feeding children breakfast is proven to be *good* for them.

When I saw the gag, I knew some shock value was coming. I incorrectly predicted that the handmaids’ would have had their tongues cut out. That would have actually made sense in terms of eating and oral hygiene.

That is a pretty sad AirBnB listing. They need professional photos, stat.

I saw Shawn Ashmore (Iceman) at a con a few years ago and he said he hoped his character would come out in the movies. I'm not sure we'll see the original cast back at this point though.

Birth can be scary, especially when our friends and the internet are full of horror stories. But know that your body is made to do this. You have a lot of time to get ready and find a supportive team to help you have the type of birth you’d like to have.

That’s OK! Don’t give birth if you don’t want to. But, we mostly only hear the horror stories. Sometimes giving birth goes OK and can even an overall positive experience.  I think we need to hear these stories too.

I was anti-episiotomy until I had one and it turned out fine. They definitely should NOT be routine though.

I was lucky enough to have a good experience having an unmediated birth in the hospital. My GP delivered at the hospital so I was very comfortable and familiar with her, and in a pre-natal visit she encouraged me

If I’m not up to socializing, I kind of think it’s on me to communicate that directly.

This. I'm a neuro-atypical introvert, but I'm also very comfortable telling a stranger, "I'm not in the mood to talk right now."

I had to look Alex up on Wikia and apparently she was born in ‘89. So, she is a little young to be super worried about her biological clock ticking, I agree! I guess they had to keep her close in age to Kara so they could have the sisterly relationship. The characters probably wouldn't have reason to be close if Alex

I think Alex already had her PhD and some job experience at age 23, when she was recruited for the DEO. CW ages are goofy.

I got FF7 about a year after it came out. I was in 8th grade. My boyfriend said, “oh, that’s the game where Aeris dies.” I SHOULD HAVE DUMPED HIM RIGHT THEN!

I plan to subscribe to CBS All Access year-round when they have new Star Trek content every week. Unless I get Star Trek fatigue like I did with the MCU tv shows.

This Is Us is surprisingly similar to Lost: mystery box (how does Jack die?), flashbacks, flash-forwards. I keep waiting for another flash-sideways where Jack is still alive (we briefly had one around the time of Kate’s wedding).

I was just disappointed we didn’t see more Okoye since the posters heavily advertised her role in the film.

I liked that the Medium article actually talked about the movie itself, but the author missed a few points about the history of the film. Walt Disney didn’t consider his movies children’s films yet, and he consulted the NAACP when making the film and ultimately ignored their advice. I learned both these details from
