Now that would make sense!

Those new democracy vouchers can’t be used for mayoral candidates. I know, right?
My favorite restaurant is in Hilltop. Quickie Too. Have you eaten there?
We did elect Sawant, so maybe Oliver has a fair shot. She doesn’t have any Trotskyist baggage at least. I know a lot of people voting for Oliver (myself included), but I’m a leftist who knows other leftists.
I love Tacoma. I would move there if I didn’t already have a place in Seattle. I think Tacoma folks will unfortunately be priced out soon, though, especially since light rail will eventually connect it to Seattle.
It really kills me that we could have had a subway fifty years ago... but my grandparents had to go and vote no, and the federal transportation funding went to Atlanta instead.
I haven’t forgiven Durkan for the grand jury political witch hunt about five years back. She ruined a lot of people’s lives.
You can read past the 5 articles if you use Incognito.
I agree it is happening already. I was lucky enough to buy in 2010. I would not be able to afford to do so now. My house has more than doubled in value, and I get calls from “green builders” who want to tear my house down and replace it with a million-dollar box. I may have gotten mine, but only because I had the…
Where are you getting your news? I’ve seen Oliver’s campaign covered by the Stranger, Seattle Times, Kiro Radio, and the neighborhood newspapers.
That’s what the Babylon 5 guy is for. J Michael Straczynski. He keeps the Wachowskis in check.
I was a cis girl playing Final Fantasy and hanging out in the computer lab and programming in junior high and high school.
I’m in the Xena fandom, and I feel lucky that the actors and writers of my show embraced the Xena and Gabrielle ship (subtext as it was called) to the point it became canon “maintext” in the show’s final season. I think the kids these days would accuse the show of queerbaiting, though, for trying to leave the nature…
This show aired at 6 am on Saturdays in my city, and I set my alarm every weekend to get up at watch it. I was in third grade and made my teacher put my SatAM fan art up on the classroom walls. I was so bummed when the show was canceled, but I soon discovered the Archie comics and kept reading them for years.
I’m from the Seattle area, and grew up playing in an abandoned Nike missile base in the woods. It was right next to the abandoned coal mines. I had a fun childhood! I still live here, but as shit gets worse, I fantasize about moving to Eastern Washington. They’d probably be screwed too, though.
Why do people more stuff when they already have enough stuff to fill two households! My husband and I eloped and didn’t tell anyone because we couldn’t think of anything we needed. Our Craigslist furniture and garage sale dishes are good enough for us.
OMG. Thankfully my husband hasn’t pulled the “my mom did it all crap” because his mom was the breadwinner and his dad was always underemployed and doing the household labor. I have to remember not to judge my MIL for it (she is a difficult MIL in other ways so we don’t have a great relationship) because it is pretty…
It amazes me that guys think 90/10 chores is equal. When I was in my 20s and lived with a bunch of “feminist” men as housemates, and they all agreed to do chores before moving in. One of them even suggested a second fucking chore chart where we checked off every time we took the trash out, washed the dishes, etc. The…
Speaking of threatening violence: two of Milo’s fans brought guns to his University of Washington speaking event with the intention of shooting protesters. One of them did shoot a protester, who is lucky to be alive. It seems Milo is inciting actual violence against people. See: http://www.seattleweekly.com/news/they…
Just caught up! Since this is network TV a part of me worries they will only use Beth’s family as babysitters or a plot device when Randall needs more stress in his life, but I hope I’m wrong.
