One more little detail to appreciate here. If you look at the past caps power plays, you’ll notice Backstrom typically will either go up top to Carlson or hit Kuznetsov.. who THEN will pass to Oshie. However, the Bolts have been ready for this Kuzy to Oshie pass, so this was a subtle little wrinkle the Caps added...…
Another caps fan here.. I’ve actually, at this point, just learned I should never expect anything good to happen...which makes stuff like this a bit more numbing. Also, the majority of caps fans (me included!) want Trotz gone, and a first round exit is a surefire way for that to happen.
Mizzou J-school graduate here!
Got to love the reverse-Big Narrative of Radford (the party school of Virginia) beating Liberty (the Good Christian School of Virginia.) I couldn’t imagine the columnist takes otherwise..
(Caveat: Fuck Bill Crosby, he’s the worst and he deserves nothing but contempt.) But...you’re missing a key word from that quote which caused a faulty comparison: “fairly.”
I actually tend to think the lawyers have a point here in a very strict sense. Legally, this case is strictly about whether Bill Cosby drugged &…
so long as there is a warm body with a (D) after their name on the ballot, people will vote for them.
I do feel obligated, given Splinter’s regular bashing of Jonathan Chait, that he basically made the same points (with the same title) earlier today: http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2017/10/fake-democrat-urged-democrats-to-favor-wall-street.html?utm_source=nym&utm_medium=f1&utm_campaign=feed-part
I’m with you, right until this statement:
I’m a bit confused by your interpretation of what Paul Waldman (who is one of the smarter political writers out there) wrote. Here’s your quote:
Oof. Fangraphs has basically the same article... you sure you weren’t plagiarizing just a bit here?
Down with the narrative.
The Kings were completely unlucky. They had among the best corsi close again this year, but a poor OT/SO record (which is mostly luck), a somewhat middling save percentage, and the flukish Flames run kept them out.
But by all means, blame arrogant players. We all know that all “winning” hockey…
Ok let's talk about this clip for a second, because I think a careful analysis reveals that the players/Conan are completely fine here.
There's things I agree and disagree about this piece and critique of WW.
I think mine has a legit shot to win this.
I'm not going to wade into the Redskins discussion here (except to say, duh, they should change the name.) Instead let me focus on the lovely Ben Tribbett, who is a complete and total punk.
Yes, because disagreeing with one thing he did means you automatically disagree with everything else he says.
Maybe, but there are a ton of legal intricacies here that the NBA will need to figure out. Mainly, they'll probably spend a vast majority of the time figuring out the feasibility of removing him from the league and seeing the legal ramifications of making that possible (specifically, Sterling could sue the league for…
Isn't the ENTIRE POINT of these kickball leagues to get laid?
Oh dear god, the Nats first one is priceless:
