Most of those who have studied child development agree that gender identity has settled around age three or four. This if a child is consistent, insistent, and persistent about their gender identity being at odds with what they were assigned at birth, it’s best to start by getting them to some medical/psychiatric

Well good for you?

I’m triggered by rape scenes in movies and tv, so I appreciate trigger warnings. If I can’t find enough information about the thing I’m interested in watching, I have to ask someone else to watch it first and tell me if it’s safe. This is after 2 years of therapy. Sorry I’m not where you’re at yet. There’s nothing

I agree with you that victims should seek out therapy. The school is using this event as an opportunity to inform students where they can do so. That’s great (if the information were legible).

Not to mention Minnesota, which:

Right, the electoral college argument was what I was getting at in this comment thread, perhaps poorly. I live in the upper Midwest now and am from a deep red state. Megan fixed the offending statement, but the idea that coastal voters had the burden of saving middle Americans from themselves when in fact the election

Yeah, it’s a baffling sentence even without addressing the two glaring typos. Its grasp of language and logic resembles Sarah Palin’s on a good day.

I read the story, thanks. The implication here is that middle-America leans towards racism (and as a result, would largely vote Trump) more so than coastal America.

I’ve seen maps, thanks. The implication here is that the coastal states, which tends to mean Mass, NY, and California more than, say, SC and GA, have smarter and populations and can save everyone from flyover voters.

I wear leggings as pants and my top almost never covers my butt. My leggings aren’t see through. Leggings ARE pants and anyone who says otherwise can fight me (jk don’t!) but seriously. Who cares if they don’t cover someone’s butt. Seeing the shape of someone’s butt in pants isn’t offensive or the end of the world.

I think the idea is that it’s much more horrible, hence the coverage 20 years later in lieu of the thousands of other missing, murdered and exploited girls. Even so, I think that we should acknowledge that white girls who are overweight, not blonde, “rebellious” or poor get ignored just as much as girls of color do.

I suffer from depression and I raised two boys (now men). It could be overwhelming, and I know my depression affected some of the way they were raised, and I have some guilt about that (we’ve discussed this), but there was never a time I ever wanted to hurt them in anyway.

No, just because you have or had a history of depression does not mean you are capable of harming a child in this way. As someone who also is a sufferer, I know that I could never, ever hurt someone in this manner.

I wrote out a big long detail of accounts, but y’know what; it’s not interesting. The specific events don’t matter. The only truly egregious thing that happened was when one of the producers -- not the host -- suggested that I have a few drinks to help get over being slightly introverted when interviewing restaurant

What are even you talking about? I NEVER said that what Swift did was “worse” than what Kanye did. I also NEVER said that Kanye’s decision to portray Taylor’s naked body without her consent was okay. I explicitly said that what he did was abhorrent. I find it disgusting. I hate Kanye and his “art”. I am absolutely

assuming a limit of 2000, really hard to argue you were getting that many devices prior to then, there just weren’t many mp3 players, pdas, laptops or smart phones then. lets say 160 devices since a. easy math, b. meets your criteria of “well over 100", you kept everything 1,2, or 3 years, so average 2. The logical

Yes, because women celebrities NEVER have other’s sexual fantasies projected onto them, or have to put up with tasteless “jokes” at their expense. That said, I’m all for good manners all around.

I wish I could afford to live in your neighbourhood where everyone has an extra $700 lying around for buying status symbols

Exactly this. People who are born with a naturally super-human lung capacity aren’t required to take medication to level the playing field, nor are bizarrely tall basketball and volleyball players required to squat down to be fair to shorter people. The whole point of elite sports of any kind is that they’re taking
