I totally agree with you. Since when does a pretty consistent "leave me alone" turn to "OMG I'm so excited about publishing my second book, ya'll!!!"?

That's an interesting experience (I'm glad you're okay!). I didn't consider that maybe having an outlet via "disturbing" behavior could actually prevent and not predict dangerous behavior later on.
Fire starting makes sense to me... bedwetting doesn't. Isn't bedwetting like, really common? Even among older kids? I know someone whose 3rd grader still sleeps in pull ups every night because her mom insists that she needs them...
All of the ones I have tried (the classic one was always my favorite) have that mentholated tingly feeling. If I'm missing something, I'd love to know which ones don't!

I don't care for that stuff, either, and I don't really want my kids exposed to it- at least not until they're able to understand it for what it is (can't monitor their exposure to stuff forever). But part of the problem is that we don't know if an interest in (for example) stuff like paganism can morph into an…
Yeah, you can get more info by googling, but basically mold tends to grow on the balm itself and also on the inside of the cap.

I threw out my EOS balm after a friend told me about the mold issue. Icky.

I guess to be more specific, I was thinking that a doctor might mistakenly diagnose a child as autistic or depressed or something and miss the fact that the kid might be a ticking homicidal bomb.
Can't that be a sign of other things, though, too? Like autism, depression, etc? I'm not an expert or anything, I just think it's complex and scary lol.
Since we don't know for sure either way, what you're going to do sounds as good an approach as any! I mean, I feel like it's not uncommon for kids to go through a morbid phase... so when does an "oh, it's just a phase" thing turn into murder? When do we need to intervene? I have a sinking feeling that there's no real…
When do you start worrying about your kid's interest in creepy stuff? Are there, like, documented warning signs? Other than the stereotypical torture of small animals?
Even if all of this is being blown completely out of proportion... the bare bones facts are disgusting. These people adopted children - they didn't foster, they adopted - and then they just gave them away.
Writing a song for a significant other is the equivalent of getting a significant other's name tattooed on your body.
Should we email Mr. Kutcher about things like maternity & paternity leave and stuff? Maybe if he posts about those things, they'll get attention, too!
When I was in middle school, I had a stalker. That might sound harsh, but it's the truth. This other boy in my grade just wouldn't leave me alone. He followed me everywhere, stole little things of mine (like a pen, etc.), and made me incredibly anxious. I tried telling teachers and if they did anything about it, it…
I just wanted to tell someone that I cried watching the footage from Hammond's crash. My dad didn't even give me shit over it, because it was just awful.
Normally, this guy rubs me the wrong way. I don't know what it is, I just never thought he was that funny and I didn't "get" him - but this is just plain frickin' awesome.
