LadySoprano Is Unimpressed

In my third year of college, I moved into an apartment with Bran and Muffin. Bran and I had two mutual friends who were always around, Raisin and Boy (the only male among us). I had a massive crush on Boy and counted him among my best friends. I also counted Muffin among my best friends, as we'd known each other since

I'm a music teacher. I'm a singer (if the "LadySoprano" thing didn't make that clear). Not sing to any hypothetical progeny I may produce someday? You have got to be kidding me.

I don't pay much attention to Lily Allen usually, but this headline made me gasp out loud. What a terrible loss, and I hope that people leave her alone to grieve with her husband and family in peace.

@laurable: Between having my brother in 1971 and me in 1978, my mom had a first-trimester miscarriage in 1976. It absolutely devestated her. She also had fertility problems and to this day still refers to me as her "miracle baby" (they'd decided to give up trying, you see).

Mjukuu looks so pleased with herself, as she should. He's darling!

@Sukie is Brianna; non-anonymous: Duh, she's totally supposed to apologize for using her right to free speech in a peaceful protest! How dare she protest his beliefs! How dare she have an opinion! HOW DARE SHE!!

@CurtCole: Thank you! There's nothing so satisfying to me as the rhythm and rhyme of a limerick.

Apparently, limericks are my thing. Thank you, everyone! I'm honored.

A candidate with something to say

To add to what others have said, if a dog does something klutzy, he just keeps going on with life. If a cat does it, there's that automatic reaction of "You didn't see that!" followed by almost manic grooming.

@ctkat1: Thanks for making me smile. What a cool story. : )

@anniefleming: That is awesome! Just two normal people walking with their baby, greeting others on the street. Very cool.

Hey, if it's symbolic of accepting themselves and not feeling that they need to marry the first guy who speaks to them just to conform to society's expectations, more power to them.
