While I do think this plot if done by another writer/director like Noah Baumbach or The Coen Brothers would not cause anyone to blink this is so close to who Allen is and his real life that it practically begs comparison.

The last one I saw is even older than that. It was Scoop, Allen’s worst film IMHO.

This is the thing that most ruined him for me. I didn’t like him to begin with, but this absolutely cemented it for me. He normalized Trump while ridiculing Hillary. When Hillary went on his show he played up the Russian propaganda about her being sick.
