Things I learned:
IT IS TOO EARLY FOR ME TO BE WEEPING AT THE KITCHEN TABLE LIKE THIS
re: the cognitive dissonance when white friends talk about bad shit happening to them for being white.
no guise its not racism its called compression/a glitch/the cyberpolice/youtube uploading errors its literally called anything except police murdered a woman and covered it up bc that is just RIDICULOUS.
as soon as I saw the headline I also knew there would be people coming out in earnest like that is just too far, six year olds are little mindless sacks that can’t be trusted to sit at a table with a baby without bursting into flames, taking candy from a stranger, or ignoring the choking baby.
yaaaaas
hahaha! I haven’t finished the season but MAN this is how I currently feel.
I mean, sure! I’m not trying to get you to convert. I’m just saying that a lot of condom-breaking fears come from terrible sex ed which uses the “inevitability” of condom breakage to scare kids, rather than informing them on how to greatly reduce the chance of breakage. I just hate to see that propagated, when…
Well, condoms are much less likely to break/fail if you follow like three guidelines, which involve leaving space at the tip, pulling out while holding the base and while still being hard, and making sure that there is plenty of lubrication involved (a few drops of lube on the inside are great, too.)
Oh man, I’m sorry about those periods. I used to have really heavy and long periods (luv u PCOS) so I am sending solidarity feels your way. Also this thing about the Nuvaring is something I’ve heard from more than one person! That if you do any moving/extended traveling, it can be a hot mess. I know lots of people who…
um obvs this “science” shit is just a front. people are trafficking in little baby bodyparts, and they’re being used in satanic feminazi witch rituals.
Ugh I’m so sorry that insertion sucked for you <3 I had a good friend who had a terrible experience getting her paragard inserted, and the first doctor basically implied that she was being a wuss about it, which is so shitty. She went to a second one, and they got it inserted after some trials and tribulations and…
Also, people often have fears about pimples/emotions/whatever. Unlike oral BC, which has to make it into your stomach, absorb into your bloodstream, and circulate through your whole body before doing what it’s supposed to in your uterus, the Mirena is right on-site, so the hormones are much less.
All IUD experiences are different, so YMMV, but I remember when I was looking for information all that stuck out were these horror stories from folks who had gone in for an IUD and screamed, passed out, bled, had the worst pain ever in their entire lives in lots of graphic detail and it was terrifying.
Yep, it’s accurate :)
Does anyone know how “resilience” relates to the idea of “grit” that I keep hearing from some urban ed folks? Is it the same thing by a different name? I’m about to google, but if someone is familiar with all of the jargon, I’d love any wisdom you have to share.
One thing that my partner and I (and in a separate way, my father and I) are working on is the drive to fix things for someone else. I experience it, my partner and father experience it. Unfortunately, my depression is severe, especially in the winter months, and it becomes a clusterfuck.
too real >____>
