Is there a path to redemption for these men? If so, what does it look like?

This is hands down the grossest thing I’ve heard about today.

Almost certainly. And frankly, a 76-year-old taking a cushy forced retirement doesn’t really seem like adequate consequence for a pattern of serial harassment over decades. His knowing that this will be the thing he’s remembered for eating at him enough to pitch this isn’t justice, exactly, but it’s something.

Yes, because nobody blinks when opposite-sex romance, attraction or sexuality is public. It’s assumed to be normal or the default. And nobody is sharing details here — her saying she’s dated both men and women does not give you any particular bedroom details.

Smart doesn’t mean the same thing for them as it does for you. What they want is someone who appreciates how smart they (think they) are. What they don’t want is someone who can challenge them or help them grow intellectually.

To anyone who mocks this information or says “Who cares?” I’d like to offer a hearty “Shut your fucking mouth”.

Terry Crews is a goddamn national treasure. This is just more evidence supporting that fact.

It’s going to take a lot more guys like him speaking out about this shit before the insecure among us can give up their posturing. Good for him and great for the rest of us if he can get more men to take a look at themselves.

It’s a shame Terry is getting so much shit, because he’s absolutely right. And especially the part about “men are bad;” we don’t react the right way to that at all. Like why can’t we just own it? We are, but why do we have to go on the defensive when we have an opportunity to examine ourselves and be better?

Masculinity in our culture has always been insecurity masquerading as strength. That’s probably why it’s been so damaging. Almost all the evil in our history has resulted from insecure people lashing out at the world.
