I approve, obviously.

No, just civil.

On one hand, good. On the other, Bob Weinstein is just doing this to cover his ass and distance himself from his brother, not out of any altruism for the victims.

This is how to make a joke about a terrible aspect of society: targeting the abusers and not the abused.

It’s common to refer to one another as Mom and Dad (or Mom and Mama, Dad and Daddy) when talking to/in front of the kids. But using Mother in lieu of a name in personal convos is unusual. It’s not really in the same category as a pet name (Hon, etc).

Ha! Can you imagine?

Ad hominem, ad populum, straw man to name a few.

He really should have listened to his wife.

Is your goal to squeeze every logical fallacy into one comment section? If so, you’re off to a great start.

Time travel, though I’m not sure that qualifies as a superpower. I’d be a good little historian and just observe. What can I say, I’m boring. You better believe I’d shake the foundation of historiography with all my new knowledge, though. Huzzah!

Absolutely. It’s also very powerful to see yourself reflected in pop culture, not as The Other, but as any other complex character (movies, TV, etc have a ways to go on this still).

Nah, it’s the lawyer. Sniveling, morally bankrupt cowards are where it’s at.

It’s good to see compassion and authenticity (in this case, the guys just being who they are) change people’s views. Some need to meet members of a marginalized group to open their minds (I’m thinking specifically of the firefighter). Activism and fighting for a cause are awesome, too, of course. But this show isn’t

I need this. Badly.

Congratulations! I love the messages you took from the show. Change comes from all places, not just political activism, but pop culture, too. My husband often takes the kids out while I’m working, and he sees just as many dads doing the same as moms. This wasn’t true 10 years ago with our eldest. You’ve got this!

Yup. Long-term use alters brain chemistry, specifically lowering seratonin production. That can cause depression and anxiety and makes it harder to feel “good” emotions.

Just when you think Dr. Sattler can’t get any better...

I’d be down for a Children of the Forest prequel.
