Millihelen is really doing some great stuff! I like the emphasis here on environmental effects and not just toxicity. We so often get excited about products without really considering where they fit in terms of waste product (packaging) or the chemicals need to manufacture them (nail polish comes to mind).

You could see about your city's disposal of toxic materials. I know technically it's not paint thinner but even just inquiring about it could put it on the radar for your municipality.
