A miracle I thank the V8 for every day. So shiny. So chrome.

I couldn’t believe no one had said it before me! ;)

Fisher never revealed what the outcome of the test was. (We don’t even know that he used this exact test.)

My overwhelming memory of puberty is THE FEELS. I had so many emotions of so many different colours. It’s really only settled down when I hit my early twenties.

Good choice!

Given the discussions in the blogosphere (do we still say that) about sexual abuse, we should really highlight the problems The Sparrow has. While I enjoyed it and I think it’s a good book, I came away thinking the author either has some very problematic beliefs, or wasn’t quite skilled enough to use stereotypes to

Absolutely agree. I’m the flinchy type, if not the squeamish type, and I actually found myself retching at one point. EWWWWWWWWW

Right now, George Miller could tell me he was going to remake the Phantom Menace and I would have a front row seat for the pod-racer topped with guitar and drums and backed with fire.

Being a non-Sky-viewing Scot, I usually wait to buy the dvds of GoT. This series seems to have underwhelmed people and this storyline is just . . .

So, who else watched from behind a pillow? It felt like the show was playing a horrible mindgame, “oh you don’t like the rape? Here, have gore instead! Oh wait you don’t like that? That’s okay because here’s some rape!” Anna Foerster deserves all the awards. But not an episode I’m keen to rewatch any time soon.

Stormrider is actually very fun - and gave me the real heebie jeebies as I found myself sexually attracted to someone playing a child (I don’t think Pettyfer is that much younger than I am though). Maybe that’s why it didn’t do well? It used to play on Sky Movies continuously.

Oh no - I remember him saying that now. I’m in the UK so I’ll get them all as a series from Amazon, I’m safely anticipating the internet will warn me. Good luck next week.

Scarlett Johansson’s teeny tiny pregnancy bump that is barely noticeable has to be slimmed too. Harrumph.

Same - the stuff that Jeyne Poole goes through happens ‘off screen’ and is still almost unbearable. To watch it happen to a major PoV character is going to be very tough. I was not happy about seeing Theon’s abuse played out, even though I think they tamped it down for the tv show somewhat. (Or perhaps it’s what you

Soooo - if Sansa is the new Jeyne Poole, is there going to be a ‘not with the dogs’ scene? Because I am NOT up for that. :(

Hmm - I actually really liked this episode. Both Jamie and Claire are more interesting apart, they have the opportunity to breathe and stretch, and more importantly, have some motivation other than ‘lets look good under soft lighting together’.

Amen! I’m slightly saddened that we are not as politically close as I thought we were, but as a rabid nationalist myself, I take this as the opportunity to prove the cause, rather than hurl insults. JK is still an awesome woman and The Casual Vacancy still the greatest ode to socialism ever.

I actually disagree - there should be full accountability and traceability of peer review, ala PeerJ

If the animal MUST have medication then its environment is completely unsuitable, and that is cruel to keep it there. People are able to express their feelings, and choose what medication to take (and SSRIs do not affect every human in the same way), animals don’t

My ethical position is that where an animal cannot cope with its environment and is under chronic stress, with no hope of improvement, that euthanasia is kindness.
