Thank you, Tyra. That was the only thing stopping me.

My wedding was 15k, but a full 5 of that was alcohol and my dad paid for that because I refused. We had it at a hotel on the harbour in Victoria, BC. It wasn’t crazy expensive for a venue, but not overly cheap either. I think 6k for all of that including food and ceremony/reception space. My dress was cheap AF (my mum…
I have read War and Peace twice. But I’m only just working on the Count and I’ve not read the other two. My husband read Moby Dick and just seemed like he wanted it to be over the whole time. That said, I tend to have more appreciation for the written word.
My accomplishment is my beautiful, pinteresty bullet journal.…
Yes, lots of coniferous trees and a mountain view off my back deck. But a bigger challenge for gardening. I did manage to grow corn one year. I was very excited. It wasn’t even good corn. But it grew.
Oh, they will be raised. We are on clay. But we aren’t going to be building anything until it warms up a bit. It’s not particularly pleasant outside. It still snows in the morning. I’m Zone 2. Not the far north of Canada, but I’m not down near the border either. About a ten hour drive north of Vancouver.
WOO!
Lol. The ground is frozen.
Last night I had this whack one where we went on a road trip east of here. In reality in the four hours between here and the Alberta border there is just one tiny village. But in my dream there were all these really neat cities. One looked like some sort of Disneyland. Then I met up with my old neighbour from when I…
Too early to plant here, but we have plans. Our Awesome Neighbours want to do a shared garden with us. So we are putting a gate between our yards and building gardens together. Then if one family is away, the other can water/weed/harvest. :D Can’t wait! I’ve taken a few years off veggies because we are always away a…
I never could get to sleep until I started taking Lexapro. Now I sleep so easily, but my dreams are weird AF. Oh well. Win some, lose some. This probably doesn’t help you unless you need to be medicated for anxiety though.
So the school district here is putting it’s foot down on catchment areas and being dicks to my neighbours, telling them their one kid can’t join his sister at her school. It is annoying. But anyways it reminded me of when I was a kid and they built a new school and the district told my mum that I’d have to go there…
Same. Just a regular old day around here.
It is definitely affordable and scenic up here. It’s always nice to hear people want to move to PG. I’m enjoying it so much, but people make fun of me for living here. Probably thanks to Maclean’s magazine and their assertion that we are incredibly dangerous. I live close to the university and it’s really nice around…
Yeah, having babies just speeds up the inevitable.
Yeah, having babies just speeds up the inevitable.
It’s very freeing when you get to that point where you realize you will never look pre-baby and you don’t give a shit. I have stretchmarks on thighs that are longer than some of my old dresses. I have a scar from my C-section. My gut will always be a little jiggly. I have deflated balloon boobs. I can be the same…
Yikes. I gained 52 lbs with my first baby. Ha. Took me a year to lose it all.

Today I came home from dropping off some donation things. A bunch of the kids’ friends were outside on their bikes, so they grabbed their bikes and took off. My next door neighbours were out front with their dogs and some beers, so I grabbed my dogs and they gave me a beer. Then we had an impromptu barbecue. Then my…
My neighbourhood is the best because the kids do exactly that - just say they are heading off to see friends and that’s that. My kids are 5 and 7 and I don’t accompany them anywhere unless I want to. Given how awesome my neighbours are, we do sometimes end up in the same place. :P
