Oh, I’m so sorry for your loss. We lost one of ours this summer. My husband now feels like he’s ready for a new one. The puppy he really wants has been named Allie by the humane society. Our doggie was Kallie. I decided that was some sort of sign from the universe.

I’m still a good 10-12 hours from Whitehorse. BC is biiiiig. Ha. But we do dog sledding around here also. I used to have an old Akita that I rescued from a pretty crappy life. He was an awesome beastie.

I’m in a more northern part of British Columbia. It’s weird because usually the shelter is packed. It may be that they shipped a bunch of dogs down south where there’s higher demand. They move them around a fair bit. Totally weird though. There are still tons of cats.

Thanks!

Thanks! He just called to say he found out they are shipping him to Vancouver tomorrow morning. I’m just pissed because he should have had angioplasty on day one. My new personal quest is getting a proper cardiac centre up here.

My babies are old.

I may have to commission something from you for Christmas. I love your stuff!

My hospital apparently doesn’t do angioplasty and they have to send all heart attack patients to hospitals that are ten hours away. I just found that out this week. Wtf.

This week was fucked up. I just got back from a month away in Ottawa. My husband left almost immediately to go to South Carolina for the week. The day after I got home, my dad had a heart attack. :/ He’s “okay”. He’s in the hospital waiting to be transported to Vancouver. But I was alone here with the kids doing their

Jamie Fraser in a crawl space ...I’d just pretend we were in his cave. Hot.

Thanks for noticing. :P

Yes. This. The answer is so obvious.

I do enjoy my responsibly-used pharmaceuticals. Especially now that my life decided to be one stupid thing followed by another. But that’s a story for SNS. Omg.

Yes. Someone gave me a collection of “natural” soaps for Christmas. Holy fucking eczema batman.

Thank you for satisfying my curiosity!

Awww, I love chickens. Never had my own, but my mum and stepdad have some at their cottage. They are lovely ladies. I also used to chicken-sit for some acreage people here when they were on holiday. It was good fun.

I think you don’t get to call yourself “chill” in this scenario though.

Yup. Like line up outside the night before they unlock the doors to ensure earliest arrival. Also fill both white closets.

No worries at all. We’ve all been there I’m sure. :)

My dog was supposed to be an ewok to go with our Star Wars theme, but now we have to be away in Winnipeg and I can't take her and I'm heartbroken.
